Pet care experience
My name is Krystal and I have been working with and caring for dogs in one form or another since I was 12 years old. From completing different training courses with my own dogs over the years, to teaching group or private obedience classes on my own, as well as having done dog grooming, kennel work, and some boarding, I am well rounded and simply love being around dogs. I have worked with many different breeds and sizes, all with different needs and breed traits, and am very adaptable when "learning" a new dog's personality and how to work with them best. I also have experience caring for cats, reptiles, rodents and arachnids!

Krystal has always been the 1st person we call to care for all of our many animals, when we are away! She has been there to help me many times with advice on training, and grooming!
I met Krystal through mutual friends a few years ago & she has been dog sitting for me since. I feel my dogs are in great hands with Krystal as she is very attentive to their needs. Information Krystal D. would like to know about your pet
Emergency contact information including names and phone numbers of people other than yourself that can be contacted in case of an emergency should you not be available. Also, vet contact information and (if applicable) preferred Veterinary ER. Any special medications to be administered while I am caring for your pet, dosages and times to be given. How often your dog is fed and how much. Also, any special requirements for feeding (i.e. mixed wet and dry, raw diet, crate fed, raised dish, etc). Does your dog have any food related or environmental allergies? What are some of your dog's favorite toys? Spots to be pet/scratched? Treats? Does your dog enjoy doing any special tricks? What is your dog's least favorite spot to be touched? Does your dog resource guard toys/food/furniture? Does your dog have any particular fears to be aware of? (Example - thunder storms, fire engines, sudden movements, etc...) Has he/she ever bitten or threatened to bite new people coming into your home? How is your dog with social situations involving other dogs? Is he/she reactive when on leash? If he/she sees another dog while on a walk, is there anything I should be ready for, like anxiety, aggressive/excited barking, excessive pulling or other such behaviors? Any special notes, requirements/requests or other questions will be discussed once I have met you and your dog, and we have gotten to know each other a little better, to tailor to your needs and the needs of your pet! **NOTE: I will NOT bring your dog into a social situation with another dog intentionally, I do not go to dog parks and try to avoid other off-leash areas as I cannot control what another person's dog might do. Your dog's comfort, enjoyment of our time together, and safety are my #1 priority!
A typical day
I am located in Riverside, RI not far from Hanes and Crescet Park and right on the East Bay Bike Path! Depending on where you are located, I will utilize any pet friendly local areas, trails, or the bike path itself to exercise and entertain your dog during a "walk only" visit. For overnight, or 30 minute in-home visits, I will happily take the time to exercise your pet mentally and physically so that they will be calm and content while you are away, and of course give them some snuggle time if that is something they enjoy!
