What’s not to love when it comes to dogs? I have yet to meet a dog that doesn’t have a sense of humor; they’re loving and hilarious. More importantly, they are the best companions in the world. There’s no one else I’d rather have at my side while hiking or playing sports. These days, I have a dog of my own and foster others. I grew up with dogs, and my mom still has several back home that I’ve helped care for. I simply love being around them as much as possible. Typically, I spend a lot of time hanging out with friends, playing sports, and enjoying the outdoors. I bring a dog along whenever possible, and they love to engage in social time and playing in the park. I’m a photographer’s assistant, so my everyday schedule varies greatly (and leaves lots of time for adventures!). As a pet-sitter, I’ll observe your pup carefully. Every aspect of their well-being is important to me. I’ll be open to all their communication, sensing what they’re enjoying and what they’re not enjoying in their environment, so that I can tweak as needed. They need cuddles? Check. Ready for playtime? Excellent. Hungry? We’ll follow your schedule and supplement with treats if they’ve been especially good. If they’re experiencing separation anxiety, I’ll talk to you about how to address it; some dogs need distractions, others need a sense of connection with their owners. My ego’s not invited to the party--it’s all about your dog, and your dog’s particular needs and personality. I’ll keep you humans in the loop with frequent pictures (but not an annoying amount!). I’ll adhere carefully to your routine and rules, which will help the pup feel comfortable quickly and know that I’m trustworthy. I’ve worked with many other animals, like birds, cows, horses, cats, and reptiles, and I’m happy to take any and all under my wing. I can’t wait to meet more people and more pups, and care for dogs of all kinds!
