Your dog’s new running buddy!

Pet care experience

I work independently as a Personal Trainer, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule that I create. I have a 3 year old happy boy named Reese, so your dog must be able to get along with other dogs. Reese goes for runs with me all the time, and absolutely adores other dogs and playing with them. I have had dogs my entire life, and can't imagine a life without them. Growing up, I trained two seeing eye dogs for the blind. While it was a wonderful experience, one of the dogs succeeded in passing the program, and it was too much for me to go through saying goodbye to another dog! I also worked in a veterinary clinic for a year, but it was too difficult in the long term to see animals in pain so frequently. I have extensive experience training puppies from 8 weeks old to 14 years and everything in between. I love to spend my time helping to make dogs feel comfortable, and give owners the peace of mind to have their dogs in a home as opposed to the stress of a boarding facility. I know I've done a good job when the returning dogs that return sprint straight into the house! I understand the importance of an exercise routine for dogs, and know it can be difficult for busy people. Dogs deserve the release of energy, and they deserve to feel good and have their needs met! I ensure the dogs get a special outing, run, or multiple walks during the day when staying with me. Caring for dogs is already an ingrained part of my routine. I will either get up early to run/walk the dogs, or come home midday to do so. Then they get an after dinner walk as well. Dogs that stay with me are allowed to be on the couch and bed. I also have plenty of dog beds scattered around my home. I live in a townhouse, but right by a plethora of trails and parks in the cordata area. I know dogs can be anxious staying with a stranger, so we always have a before bed walk to try and eliminate any jitters. They get an essential oil diffuser in our room to help put them at ease, and a cuddle buddy in Reese.

Remi had another great stay with Kristyn! She took him on lots of adventures during his weeklong stay and sent pictures and videos to keep me in the loop. He came home a tired and happy dog!

Krystin was amazing! She took fantastic care of my rambunctious puppy, gave him lots of exercise, and kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout the stay. I can easily tell that she loves dogs and cared for mine like her own. Her dog, Reese, is so sweet and was a great friend to my pup. I would highly recommend Krystin!

Kristyn was great. She treated our dog like her own, always double-checked before doing anything super flexible, and perfect for our active and sensitive pup. Plus, she kept us reassured with tons of happy dog photos while we were away. We highly recommend Kristyn.

Safety, trust & environment

The pups that come visit are treated as my own. That sounds cliche but it is true! Reese is both the MVP and Customer Relations Specialist :). He is the sweetest and most patient dog I have ever owned, not an aggressive bone in his body (almost to a fault). His calm and happy demeanor makes a huge difference in making the visiting pups feel at ease. We lost my 14 year old Chocolate Lab Leia in December of last year, so he loves having friends come over. He also grew up in a pack of coonhounds as well, so he loves a pack. If your dog has appropriate recall abilities, we will go for a pack run which they just LOVE!

Information Kristyn B. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog has any history of aggression towards anything. Other dogs, toys, food, resource guarding, etc. Please also let me know if your dog has any food allergies or sensitivities, or any triggers they might have to make them act out of character. Anything you feel is important to know, or unique to your pup.

A typical day

I will wake up a couple hours earlier than normal to take the dogs for a run, or to the park or hike. I always make sure they have a good exercise session before leaving the house for the first time. Then I go to work for a couple hours and come home. At the end of the day after dinner, we'll go for a walk before bed.

I have a very flexible routine and schedule, so I am able to prioritize the visiting dogs. I do have clients, but only 2 or 3 a day, meaning the longest time I will be gone from the home is 2-3 hours. Given that I have another dog myself, I have a canine care routine in place already!
