Hello! My name is Kristy. I’ve grown up with animals my entire life, big or small, furry or scaly, I love them all! I have an 8 year old pit lab mix of my own, her name is Kiki. She’s a very very sweet girl. Although Kiki is reactive to other animals, it doesn’t stop us from going on daily walks! Ive devolved skills to understand when she’s alert and we are able to defuse and avoid any situations. I’ve personally taken care of a variety of animals throughout the years including: dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and goats! 4-H has definitely given me experience with many different animals as well as teaching me and the value of caring for them. Ive volunteered at my local animal shelter in the past where I was able to walk dogs, help clean kennels, and learn basic dog training skills. I also regularly dog sit for my coworkers. Word went around the office that I am a rover sitter and it’s taken off from there!
