Hi! My name is Kris and I love dogs. My dog family consists of my sister, a pit-bull mix named Rosie, my nephew, Benji, the cutest apple-headed chihuahua, and my nephews Theo, a dachshund, and his adorable little bro Auggie, an English Cocker Spaniel. I have looked after these dogs with love and care for the past 8 years and I love doing it. I’ve also grown my dog family by sitting for dogs on here. I do extended stays, take care of plants and have become like family with some of my clients. When I’m not with dogs, I’m a part-time nanny for the best human kids ever. I’m a writer. I enjoy writing poetry, personal essays, songs, blog posts, Instagram captions, dreamy text messages. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English and an MFA in Poetry. Writing is what fulfills me and makes me feel like my truest self. Taking care of animals and humans is what fills my cup with happiness, play, and helps me remember what life is really about; living in joy. What makes me different from most dog walkers is that I’m an introvert. So when you first meet me, you might think I’m on the quiet side and that’s because I am. I won’t talk your ear off. I like to listen, which means I will hear your needs. Introverts are commonly stereotyped as “cat people” and this isn’t necessarily true. I love cats, I do. There have been three great cats in my life: Angel, Frisky, and Boots. They have all passed away but they didn’t leave without teaching me a few things, first. They taught me how to listen, how to be still and how quickly life can end; so love now. With that said, if I were to come back as an animal I would be a dog. Why? Because they have been my greatest teachers on how to love. When they need love, they are not afraid to ask, to beg, jump and lick and I love that. They also share their love generously and it’s contagious. So, I may be different than your average dog walker but I have a big heart and I will walk your dog with love and care.
