Pet care experience
We (Kristina and Mitch, and young kids) live 5 min from downtown Sunnyvale! We did take some time off to focus on our kids but are now back! **for now, only doing dog visits and dog walking at your home. And unfortunately, our dog Leo passed away recently! We really miss him!!! ** During the day, your dog will enjoy walks. Your dog will then spend the majority of the day with Kristina while she cooks/cleans/watches TV! Dogs must be ok with a toddler and baby. Because we now have kids, we have a play pen that is in the laundry room next to our kitchen! For the safety of everyone we will have your dog in a large play pen some of the time during feedings. When Kristina is not at home, she is running errands for a few hours. Mitch works full-time during the week from home. We are detailed and follow all instructions! We provide photo text updates every day and always communicative. We provide belly rubs if desired! We have a small 18-lb dog, Leo (neutered and up to date on his vaccinations!). Leo is friendly. He can get very excited when initially meeting your dog (very high energy and then calms down after a few min.). We enjoy walking dogs. We both grew up taking care of dogs. Your dog should be comfortable staying home for up to 6 hours. We provide a 10-20 minute walk in the morning and evening (or more if the weather is nice!) and potty breaks as necessary (i.e., middle of the day, before bed). Leo loves running through the doggy door to see if he can find a squirrel in the backyard! We accept friendly dogs only. We always have a water bowl out for the dogs in the kitchen so they are free to drink when they are thirsty and freshen it daily. ***Please confirm that your dog is up to date with vaccinations. *** Please provide us with care instructions as it relates to walking, preferences, food schedule, medications, and emergency contact info. (for yourself and/or vet hospital info.)*** ***Please bring your dog’s crate, food, dog food bowl, poop bags, special treats, if any, special play toys and their doggy bed/blanket**

Kristina, Mitch and their pup Leo were all so accomodating and wonderful with my little dog. I’m always so anxious leaving her behind with a family while I travel but they conpletely quelled all my worries from the moment I met them. They are sweet, polite, caring and most of all responsible with my dog and never left me with even a moment of worry. Truly a 5 star experience and they will 100% be my go-to family to leave my pup with whenever I must make another trip! :)
Kristina, Mitch and Leo are an awesome family! I was away for 10 days and didn’t have to worry about my Ollie at all. Kristina sent lots of pics of him happy and having so much fun. If you want a home away from home for your fur babies, this is it!
I was very worried about finding a sitter for my dog Benny. Benny has severe separation anxiety and takes a long time to adjust to new environments. But now my worries have gone away. Within one sitting, Kristina and Mitch helped Benny find comfort in their home and helped him with his anxiety by petting and hugging him constantly. They also sent me pictures of Benny throughout the day and updated me on how he was doing. They are amazing dog-sitters and I will be booking them again very soon!
Kristina and Mitch were amazing with our dog, Dotty. Kristina is super responsive over text - we got so many pictures as well as meal, walk, and potty updates. You can tell that they care so much about the dogs they host. Dotty is definitely excited to hangout with Kristina, Mitch, and their dog Leo again!

What is your dog’s daily routine (I.e. eating/walking/bathroom/sleep schedule)? How much food? Any special commands? Any tendency to dig under a fence? Is your dog scared to be in someone else’s care? Will they run out?
A typical day
The neighborhood is very safe to walk dogs. Close by is Washington Park which is nice for a walk. We will also walk in downtown Sunnyvale where there are large areas of grass (especially near Target). Happy to go to a dog park or other location that you would prefer. Otherwise, we will only walk around the neighborhood (not the dog park unless you want us to!). Kristina also has a family dog (Angel) that swings by occasionally and friends/family or goes to visit nearby family and everywhere she brings your dog will be in a dog-friendly environment!

Availability
Walk in morning and late afternoon/evening. Feeding per instructions. Because we are a busy family, we can only provide two walks per day and a few potty breaks (I.e., before bed) depending on weather of course (sometimes it’s hard to walk dogs in the rain!). If weather is not ideal, we will at least give potty breaks.
