My family has had dogs since before I was born, and I grew up with the pack. Ever since I can remember I was playing and helping feed, walk and brush my furry siblings. As a result, I have taken care of many, many dogs over the years. At one point, we had as many as seven dogs in my family, plus my grandma's pup would stay with us several days on a weekly basis. Because of my love for animals I have kept a variety of exotic and aquatic pets since I was four years old. I grew up watching Animal Planet anytime I had the TV on. Steve Irwin was my idol and my other favorite shows were the Animal Cops series, K-9 to 5, and The Most Extreme. My mother had bought me a 5-part animal encyclopedia set that I obsessed over. My proudest moment in pre-school was when I met a kangaroo joey. My best friend and constant companion (aside from my chunky yorkie, Bella) from the time I was in middle school was my cheek conure, Kubus. You could say I am captivated by animals, and comfortable around them all. I spend almost all of my days at home enjoying my own pets, client's pets, family and friends. Dog sitting and pet care is a always top priority for me. While I am watching your pets, I may work on various hobbies such as baking, cooking, doing DIY projects/ crafts, or just watch some movies with your pup. If I have friend's over, sometimes I share with them my knowledge on pet care or show them how they can do water-changes, make nutritionally customized meals, or be creative with animal enclosures. I even have several friends that have become Rover sitters as a result of watching me care for my client's pets. Spreading love and respect for the creatures on this Earth gives me a fulfilling purpose in life and has helped me battle depression and anxiety in ways medicine cannot. I am constantly learning more and more as I get to know my client's dogs. I also work on getting better at grooming, and taking the best care of all sorts of exotic pets that I already have or would like to have someday. I even collect supplies for my eventual small-animal rescue operation. I would LOVE to groom your pets to help me work on my skills. Or care for your exotics and small pets, too! I work closely with a highly experienced professional groomer/ dog-boarder as my mentor, she even has given me the privilege of caring for her pups when she is on vacation. I volunteer at a veterinary clinic occasionally over the summer, so I am familiar with sick animals and how to care for them. Se habla Espanol!
