Hello! I am an attentive, affectionate, and responsible animal lover with 30 years of experience caring for pets. I offer house sitting, doggy day care, and drop-in visits for dogs and cats. As a self-employed artist who works from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows a lot of time to focus on caring for your pets. I come from a family of animal lovers. We’ve had dogs, cats, parakeets, an iguana, fish, and chameleons. There have been German Shepherds, a Doberman Pinscher, a Boston Terrier, a Pitbull Boston mix, a Border Collie Lab mix, a couple of Peekapoos, Terriers, Chihuahuas, and several rescue mixes. I'm honored to have been a pet parent to four dogs and two cats over the last 30 years. Two Shih-tzus, a Scottish fold, an adopted domestic long hair, then two adopted terrier mixes. Dixie was a super smart cattle dog Jack Russell mix who was with me 15 years. And my last dear friend Lily was a sweet and funny miniature pinscher rat terrier who was also with me 15 years. There are lots photos of them both on my profile from our adventures in pet sitting and beyond. I have a lot of patience with animals, and only use positive training techniques to reward good behavior. All breeds have typical traits unique to that breed, yet each dog or cat will have their own personality and energy level too. So I adapt to their traits and needs. My Shih-tzus and kitties were easy peasy. Dixie and Lily however had big personalities! Each was a smart and active. Dixie was very vocal and had her opinions (you'd think she was part husky), but she always did what was asked. Lily was a silly, clever, and mischievous, and a clever escape artist. Rescued at 4 1/2 months she took the longest to fully train, but it was worth it. She was a great dog and always kept me laughing. As a pet parent and sitter, I have also gained a lot of experience managing complex medical conditions, medications, special diets, and caring for senior pets. I love animals dearly and have so much to give them. I can't wait to meet you and your fur friends!
