Pet care experience
Hello there! I am a current veterinary student at UW-Madison with a passion for pets! I have previously held positions that include a kennel assistant working with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and more, a veterinary assistant in both general and emergency practice, and a pet sitter for many years now! I do house stays (preferred so long as you’re okay with my pup, Konza, coming with), but I am more than happy to also do drop ins and dog (or cat) walks. Being a veterinarian-in-training, I am comfortable with medication administration, and I am familiar with signs of stress and do my best to help your beloved pet know that even in your absence, they are going to be well looked after. I follow directions to a “T” as being a dog mom myself, I know that every pet has their own routine they like for day-to-day activities. Konza and I also love going to the dog park (Dane County Pass), so if your pup(s) has (have) one, I usually go for an hour or so a couple times a week.
Reviews
Kristin did a great job watching our 3 fur babies :) And everyone got along great with her sweet pup. Would recommend!
Kristin did a wonderful job sitting for our dog Jack while we were out of town for a few days. She came over to meet us and our dog before our departure, kept in touch during our travels, and did everything we asked to care for Jack. She even made sure he was settled for the evening because we were returning well after the dinner hour. We had complete peace of mind with Kristin as our dog's sitter and would strongly recommend her to anyone who needs to place their pet in competent and professional charge.
I could not have asked for more from Kristin! She was an attentive pet sitter and also a very wonderful house guest who went above and beyond. I would welcome her back any time.
Kristin is amazing. I was really anxious about leaving my special needs elderly cat for so long. Kristin took amazing care of her and gave me lots of updates. Thank you Kristin for making stressful work travel a bit easier.

Information Kristin R. would like to know about your pet
I don’t have breed preferences, but I do prefer to know if there are any behaviors of which I should be aware (e.g. Konza LOVES to try to chase squirrels whenever we are outside). If your pup loves to say hi to everyone and every thing or is on the other end of the spectrum of just preferring to stick to humans and pups they’re comfortable with, I can accommodate either! Every pup is unique, but what’s most important is their safety and comfortableness with any public encounters or situations at home that may come our way.
A typical day
I go on walks in the area surrounding the house I’m staying at or in my neighborhood. There is a bike path nearby as well as parks with trails. If I’m going hiking, they are more than welcome to come with! This past summer, Konza saw three or four national and state park hikes that she loved (e.g. Devil’s lake). Konza usually enjoys a few good tug-of-war or ball chasing sessions a day as well. If too much activity isn’t your dog’s style, I’m am just as okay with spending nights on the couch getting some quality belly scratches in.
