After growing up with a hole in my heart, the size of a dog, we finally had a Shar-Pei join our family when I was 14. I was an only child, and took to calling him my "brother", because I was never lonely! I have always loved dogs, and will stop on the street to admire any passing dog on foot or in a car. I am generally well versed in reading body language and am able to gauge a dog's feeling within a given situation. More often than not, when a dog is uncomfortable, I am able to help them feel more at ease by talking to them, getting physically onto their level, and allowing them to take their time to approach me. When you're away, it can be a time of anxiety for your pet, and I would love to give your dog the love and affection they crave while you're away! The joy and love our dog brought to our home is something that only a dog can give, and trusting that special pup to someone while you're away is a big decision.
