Hi there! My name is Kristin, and I'm so excited for the potential opportunity to care for your fur baby/babies! Dogs are my absolute favorite animal, and I am always looking for ways to spend time around them. It all began with my dog, Morgan. She has lived with my family for over 12 years, since she was 8 weeks old! I still remember how tiny she was, when she could curl up in my lap and fall asleep (though she still tries sometimes at 70 lbs!) Having raised Morgan from puppyhood to a senior dog, I have a fondness and appreciation for dogs at all stages of their life cycle. Cats welcome, too! I adopted my own Kitty, Missandei, when I moved to Philly and I can't imagine my life without her. She is chatty, the life of the party, and loves to play fetch! I love all fur babies, but I have a particular soft spot for rescues. Every pet has their own personality and back story, and it's so important for me as a pet sitter to know and understand. Some animals are very laid back, while others need more love and attention to feel safe and happy. A little more about myself: I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working full-time at a hospital in the city! My current schedule is busy at times, but I am happy to make time to care for your pets where possible. Kristen was excellent with our Kittens and kept us up to date with how they were doing. . She was very detailed with providing pictures and our house was in good condition upon our return. Would recommend Kristen without reservation after this experience.
Kristin is absolutely wonderful with our new puppy! She is such a lifesaver on the days we are both at work, and we love the reports and pictures of her visits with him. She is very dependable and caring, and we recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog walker!!

I always aim to leave your home exactly as you left it. It can be anxiety-inducing to have someone you don't know super well stay in your space, so I take being trusted to care for someone's pets in their house very seriously.
Information Kristin L. would like to know about your pet
I am happy to work with any dog breed or size, but I do have more experience with medium-large dogs and their mannerisms. It would be helpful to know about any habitual routines the dog(s) might be used to (such as feeding times, a favorite toy, if they need time to warm up to strangers, etc). I would also love to know anything about the dog's current health history, as well as any potential triggers the dog might have, if any, that would make the dog feel afraid or anxious. For instance, my dog is afraid of large construction trucks and trailers that pass her on the street while on a walk, and when she sees one she will try to sprint home and pull you along with her!
A typical day
We can play fetch and go on walks around the neighborhood. If your pup is friendly with other dogs and you approve of this beforehand, we could also take a stroll to the dog park for some socialization! If they are feeling tired, we can also snuggle up on the couch (if they are allowed on furniture) and watch a show together. If I'm chilling with your cat, we could play or nap together, or both. The possibilities are endless!

I typically work Monday through Friday during business hours. Every so often I am available after work for periodic check-ins, and occasional weekends as well for check-ins. If you can reach out farther in advance, the odds of me being able to work with your drastically higher.
