Pet care experience
My family raised dogs my whole life, and I now live on my own with my doggo Fauci :) I love training with him (his newest trick - jumping through a hula hoop!) and taking him for hikes! He’s my morning running partner, WFH co-worker, and general partner-in-crime. He comes with me everywhere he’s allowed!

Kristin stopped by to take care of my little boy while I was away. It is a pleasure to have her as a resource for him as she is reliable and took good care of him. Kristin sent images and a post-visit report which I also appreciated. I'll be using her again!
Kristin was awesome!! Good response time, pleasant personally, provides photo updates, and she listened to my concerns. She’s the best person I have contacted on Rover hands down!!
I re-booked with Kristin because she is trustworthy and takes excellent care of our cats when we are away. And one is a total crab who allows her to pet him!

In addition to frequent walks, I love to provide Fauci (and other pups) with mental enrichment. Fauci gets kongs/enrichment puzzles throughout the work week. When I’ve fostered, he played great with foster dogs of all sizes/ages ranging from a 6-lb chihuahua to an 80-lb boxer/pitbull mix. He can play all-day, so expect a tired pup when you get back! Lastly, we have a HUGE fenced in backyard complete with a doggy pool that’s perfect for dogs to run around and play in. If your dog stays with us, you can rest assured that your doggo will also experience the vacation they deserve, so you can just relax and fully enjoy your own vacation!

I love to ask if a pet is dog + human friendly. I also like to ask about a dog’s energy level and play style, just to have an appropriate expectation of how much exercise they will need (intense runs, a day hike, or leisurely strolls? :) )
A typical day
I love hiking and go almost every other weekend with my pup Fauci!! If you’re looking to burn off some of your dog’s energy and provide them the opportunity to explore the outdoors, I’d love for them to tag along on our weekend adventures! On the weekdays, we sometimes will go to parks with paved walkways. When Fauci’s got some excess energy, we usually go for another jog together or play frisbee. We also go to the dog park ~once a week, just to get some additional socialization in :)

Availability
I work from home 3 days/week (MWF) and have a flexible schedule. Fauci is trained to ring a bell when he needs to potty, but hardly uses it as he gets frequent potty breaks throughout the day (roommate is also WFH). This is all in addition to our AM run, evening walk, and sometimes a quick walk around noon when we need to stretch our legs :)
