Pet care experience
I am a long time dog owner, having been actively involved in the care, training and exercise of our family dogs since I was 6 years old. I am used caring for headstrong hunting dogs and currently have a super sweet 7 8 year old German Shorthaired Pointer and a laid back 9 year old rescue Weimarainer, so I am very used to high energy dogs that need a lot of exercise. I have expertise with administration of medicines, including pills, eye drops, ear drops, wound care and even insulin injections for diabetic dogs (my late English Pointer was diabetic for 5 years and received special food and twice daily insulin injections plus eye drops from me). I have a fully fenced (solid wood 6' high) double lot yard located in the Eastown neighborhood of Grand Rapids near Aquinas College.

Stanley, our young lab, loved playing with Scout and Ellie in the fenced yard. Kristin is very attentive to her dogs and boarders.
Kristin used to help me with my Corgi dog while I was undergoing treatment for cancer a few years ago. She took care of my dog while I was recovering from two surgeries as well as after my periodic chemotherapy treatments. I knew that my dog was always well taken care of because she came back to me always very happy and even a little lighter well in Kristin care as she was able to exercise her more then I did. (My dog is a bit of a porker.). Kristin made sure to give her medications when she needed them for the yeast infections she would get from time to time. She also even took my dog to get her grooming done a few times while I was sick since I was not really able to go out to take her. Good person, really loves animals.

I care for dogs in my home and can provide a Tempurpedic dog bed if needed. I also have medium and large size crates here if your pup needs a crate.

Breed is helpful. Comfort level with other dogs. Any particular needs or habits. Do they require any special diet and/or medications. I do have two crates (large and medium) so if they need to / like to be crated while home alone and/or overnight, I can accommodate that.
A typical day
My own dogs require a lot of exercise so I walk them a minimum of 30-60 minutes per day. Depending on the weather and daylight availability, I will often take dogs to some of the nearby wooded parks to walk (or run) on the trails there or a dog park so they can really stretch their legs. My yard is a decent size playing with toys in the yard is always an option. And if the weather is really nasty, we can always play indoors with favorite toys.

I currently work part time at home and part time in the office, so time away during the work week is reasonable. I have two active dogs myself, and we have a daily routine with them in place.
