Safe and Happy Home Away From Home
Pet care experience
My brother Randy and I live in South Reno right off of Toll Rd. We have a fenced yard, a warm, happy and quiet home. We enjoy all dogs and have had the absolute pleasure of sharing our life with many of them over the years. We are older sitters and welcome the smaller dogs, 25 pounds and under, with senior citizens as our speciality. If your pet is still young (under 3) and looking for high energy playmates full of youthful energy they will be better served by another Rover home. Please understand, we want the best situation for your dog and a playful young one is not as happy as they could be with a group of seniors! We are happy to take special care of your pups if they need medication, have diet restrictions or any other needs. We have found that some dogs love peace and quiet so they are always given a place to retreat and relax. When a dog is here they are family! For your dogs safety from loose dogs, predators and fence fighters we play and exercise in our yard. It’s not hard to get the games going! About this sitter: Here's what We do.... While your precious pup waits patiently for your return I strive to create a fun, comfortable, safe and loving atmosphere for each canine guest. Once a dog feels safe all is well. It is a delight to discover their different personalities and watch the funny and fun things they do. We consider it a privilege be entrusted with the care of each darling dog that comes here, whether it's just overnight or for a couple of weeks. They are all unique and wonderful and teach us something with every visit. My brother Randy and I care for the dogs as a team. I am excited to have the opportunity to care for and spend time with my favorite animal - The canine! Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs from childhood. Usually in pairs. Each and every one of them has become a cherished member of our family. At this time I am enjoying my "grand" dogs. They visit, sometimes spend the night and then head on home! Meet my pets Currently I have no other pets living with me. About my yard I have a fenced yard with a large area for exercise and play and a back deck for lounging in the sun. Right next door is a large grassy common area that locals take their dogs to. I believe what dogs love most is a good walk where they can smell everything along the way. My community is full of quiet streets and lots of bushes to smell. My experience administering medication Yes. I've treated many ear infections, cuts, eye infections and even nursed one of my puppies through distemper. He survived!

Always great to my doggos 🥰
Kristin is amazing! My fur babies were well cared for and loved. Her daily updates eased my separation anxiety. Ha! Kristin also gave my dogs their daily supplements and allergy medications. This was the second time taking my dogs there and I will definitely be back!! Thank you Kristin!!
My girls always have the best time with Kristin!
The best place for my babies other than home. Kristin and Randy are so great!

We are always on duty when we have our dog visitors. We never leave them outside alone as we have found them to be like 2 year old little children and they can always find something to get in to! Plus dogs love being in the house and we love having them there.

Information Kristin S would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dogs temperament. Does he play well with others or does he prefer to be the only dog? Does he prefer lots of activity and play or is he a couch potato who loves to lay in the sun and go for gentle walks? Are there diet requirements? What is his feeding schedule? Does he enjoy the safety of his crate for sleeping or is he happier on his own pillow? All dogs have their wonderful qualities however I don't feel qualified to handle an aggressive dog no matter the size.
A typical day
Our guests are treated like members of our family and live in our home as though it is theirs own.Our day starts at about 6am with our first outside romp. Then everyone is ready for breakfast! We have different feeding stations for everyone so that everyone eats their own food and there are no squabbles. Then it’s back outside. After everyone has done their business and smelled everything and run around we come back in and dogs do what they usually do, nap! We go out every two hours during the day with a last call to pee at around 10pm. Dinner is in the late afternoon.
