Pet care experience

It's wonderful connecting with the right sitter so that for your pets and home are nourished in the same ways you would! I also watch over pasture animals and care for plants and gardens. Drop-in Visits are similar to house sitting that it allows a pet to stay familiar with their routine. Drop-ins give them a chance to a familiar outing if you are away for the day or at work. Drop-Ins are usually spending 30minutes with your pets. If your pet wants needs a certain activity during the day let's discuss and plan around their breed/age/lifestyle needs. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and we can discuss all the details over a meet & greet at your convenience. In my homes through life, I have raised and cared for working animals, farm animals, house pets and more. I have a brave personality to keep up with the training you already have in place. We wouldn't want all that hard work to be forgotten just because you stepped away. I understand some dogs are task driven and other find it difficult to focus on one job- I'm here to help. I am so thankful for my clients with rescues. I see so much patience, understanding and time committed to them. We have really progressed as a community who's education of animal behavior has adapted into sustaining healthy relationships. I see you putting in that hard work for your best fur friends / family members! They are forever grateful and so are other kind-minded humans! We all love our furry friends and welcome them into our lives as they come. Part of my history around dog care comes from my Godfather/Uncle Michael Dabruzzo, K9 trainer and specialist based out of Cold Spring, NY (www.dogtraining.world). Check out his website if you are interested in more information about working with dogs. Let love in and be well- Kristie

KRISTIE, WAS A BRAND NEW SITTER & i DID NOT KNOW HOW ALIAH & MEISHA WOULD ADAPT TO HER, BUT SHE CAME IN & IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO PLAY WITH MEISHA & SHE ACTUALLY STOOD STILL SO KRISTIE COULD SCRATCH HER CHIN. ALIAH JUST SAT STILL ON\HER BOX AND LET HER RUB HER HEAD & STROKE HER BACK. NEITHER ONE, TOOK OFF & WENT TO HIDE LIKE THEY DO USUALLY. KRISTIE IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT WITH THEM & I DEFINITELY WILL HAVE HER BACK FOR ANOTHER SIT.

Kristie was awesome. We were anxious because our usual sitter wasn't available, but Kristie stepped right in for us and did a phenomenal job. She was communicative, understanding, and willing to go above and beyond. Our puppy was beyond energetic and happy when we returned, clearly well taken care of. It is clear from the moment you meet her that Kristie loves and cares for dogs. We recommend Kristie enthusiastically.

Kristie did a great job. Amara didn’t want to come home, I think she misses her and Sol.

2022 update*I am not offering boarding at this time I will provide an update when we are able to welcome visitors again.. My partner and I are in the process of building our own home so there is on going construction and things that would take away from their freedom to explore our property/farm. Once we are able to welcome others to stay again, I typically recommend any animal coming into a new environment to try before a fly. Sniffing around is the best way to be sure a situation is right. Ask questions, bring favorite/necessary items and see if everything feels like home, I would want to make sure we are able to accept and accommodate our visitors so they feel most safe and welcome.

Information Kristie M. would like to know about your pet

Let me know about any special needs, interests, distractions, and so forth that may be particular to your dog's behavior or breed. It will be most important for me to know how they respond with a change in environment and around other people and dogs since this is what we are setting them up for.

A typical day

I prefer a meet a greet before booking anything with new clients. It gives us all realistic expectations from the beginning. We can meet at your home at your convenience or take a trail walk together. I love when clients leave me their own version of the owners' manual. Even the silliest notes like "Birds love our feeder but so does the dog-here's how we are mindful with that" or "Don't be surprised if my dog makes pig noises in their sleep" Things like this are so realistic and help us all feel set up for ease!
