I have always had a special connection with animals. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a Zookeeper. I imagined my days being filled with teaching, playing, cuddling, and taking care of animals. The day I learned Zookeepers have fairly little interaction with the animals and their day to day care was a sad day indeed. Growing up I had dogs, cats and the occasional guinea pig. Give me a room filled with people and I will find the dog or cat to hang out with every time! I have 3 fur babies of my own. Merle is a chocolate lab/German shorthair mix and Jack and Jill are miniature poodles. My husband jokes my fur babies are pampered, I say they are just well loved!
