Arleda loved Kristene's and so did we! Kristene was very thoughtful, thorough, and informative. She called us before completing the booking to talk about our needs and hers, what to expect, how she does things, etc. Then the next morning, we brought Arleda over and stayed at Kristene's to do a very successful meet and greet with the other dogs she cares for. Arleda is an adopted Husky we've had for about 2 weeks now ...

Ragnar’s stay with Kristene was amazing. Our family could not have asked for a more attentive and sweet person to care for our puppy. Kristene very thoughtfully sent daily text messages, pictures, and even put together a cool video towards the end of his stay for us to watch while we were away. Our boy was able to interact with other dogs and had a big backyard to play in. And Kristene is a ...

Luckily for me and Flynn,, Kristene has become a regular part of our routine. I know that he's in the best of care when he's with her and I don't need to worry about a thing.

NOTE BEFORE PROCEEDING: So as not to waste anyone's time, please be aware that I DO NOT ACCEPT SMALL DOGS (under 25 pounds), nor dogs that will drop like a cannonball to the bottom of my unfenced pool (Bulldogs cannot swim!). That is not meant to be mean; it's meant to keep everyone SAFE! YOUR DOG will not be the exception to that rule.

Now, on to the happy stuff:

I was two years old ...

What Kristene would like to know about your dog

If possible, I'd love to have your dog visit us for a few hours prior to actually coming here for boarding. I feel it's important for him to not feel abandoned by being left somewhere unfamiliar. I'm very affectionate with animals, but if yours is the shy type, or prefers to be left alone for a while, I'll sense that and let him come to me, as opposed to me "forcing" myself on him. I don't really care which breed your pal is, but I really love big dogs. NOTE: As I've mentioned, I host several "regulars" - and they all know and love each other. "Nervous" pet owners, who do not truly understand canine behavior, and who simply do not listen to my suggestions during the meet & greet, rarely work out over here (meaning no bookings result from those meetings). They relay their nervousness to their poor dogs and nobody wins. Also, good old common sense will tell you that YOUR DOG WILL NEVER, EVER BE THE ONLY CANINE OVER HERE (yes - a few people have actually requested that after reading all of this!).

NOTE ABOUT LAST-MINUTE "EMERGENCY" STAYS: Rover doesn't provide a way of up-charging for that, but I can do it myself. So be aware IF YOU ARE A FIRST-TIMER (this does not apply to my "regulars") that I will charge an additional 20% for last-minute bookings. I'm sure you understand...!

Now, I suggest you satisfy your curiosity by taking a few minutes to watch my YouTube channel: KRISTENE'S DOGCATIONERS. I have a huge back yard and a doggie door, so they may come into the house whenever they like, or stay outdoors to explore. Since I am home 24/7, my own dogs prefer to be inside most of the time with me. Your dogs are welcome anywhere, in or out, on or off the furniture. If your dog likes to swim, he or she is welcome in our pool. I always teach new dogs how to use the steps to get out - that is, in the summertime. Nobody's going swimming in the winter (winter? what's that?!) around here - ahem! I do not walk your dogs. With a third of an acre and lots of pals to run with, they don't need it and I don't have the time to do it.
