Hello! Local Zookeeper for hire! I am an animal care professional. I have been a pet owner myself all my life, though I do not currently have any right now, and I have been working in the field for 12 years. I have experience caring for multiple species, as a dog groomer, and I was previously a veterinary assistant. I have settled in Sacramento and work for the Sacramento Zoological Society as a full-time lead zookeeper. I miss having dogs at home and would love to care for your pups! Caring for dogs brings me so much joy and you can trust that they would be safe in my care. I love animals and have dedicated my life providing for them. I am comfortable administering medications of all kinds. I can also trim your dogs nails for a small fee!

Cannot recommend Kristene enough. She took wonderful care of my boys and my house. She took all the stress out of what was a very stressful travel situation due to a winter storm. Very grateful
Kristene walked and fed our dogs on a holiday. She was accommodating to our timing needs and had good communication plus a photo (which is a miracle since both dogs avoid cameras!)

I'm happy to follow whatever guidelines the owners provide. I enjoy walking, playing, and cuddling dogs. I'm very attentive and observant, especially on walks. I enjoy getting to know each dogs personalities to make sure they are comfortable and feel safe in my care.

I love all breeds of dogs and I'm not afraid of even the biggest or bulliest of breeds. But, I do want to know if they might be dog aggressive, as this will help me on the walks I take your dogs on. It is also important to know if they have other behaviors I should watch out for. I would like to know the words/commands you use with them, so they can have consistent training through my visit.
A typical day
I enjoy going on walks, and getting them outside to sniff around. I also enjoy playing ball or fetch in the backyard. And for the older pups I'm happy to cozy up on the couch (if they're allowed) and give them some belly rubs.

Availability
I work a full time job but have the capability to come back to let them out at lunch (depending on location). I'm also happy to do morning and evening walks depending on your pets schedule.
