Pet care experience
With older kids, my dogs are my friends & guests during the day. We do everything together and I talk to my dogs all day long! (In a sane way. Haha.) Dogs have always been a part of my life & I respect, admire and unconditionally love them! They truly are man’s best friend and I would willingly do anything for them. That said, I understand pack rules and expect dogs to engage and play within boundaries. If someone is having a bad day (we all do) I believe in a little alone time until they feel happier. Experience ranges from my Grandparents farm puppies, rehabilitating a previously abused Sheltie & caring for a Pomeranian with cancer. I even did my Dental Hygiene baccalaureate thesis cleaning canine animals mouths at a veterinary hospital! And a dozen or so dogs of my own: Maltese, American Eskimo, Mutt, St Bernard, Lhasa Apso, Poodle. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns before your visit. I also would love to communicate via text throughout my guest’s stay - to make it the best experience for everyone!

We always know that Forest will be well taken care of and have so much fun with Kristen!
Kristen always takes such good care of our boy Forest. Her other dogs get along with him really well, he is taken on walks, plays outside, and she sends us photos during the day. When we pick him up he’s always so happy. We love how well he is taken care of at Kristen’s!
Kristen was so great to accommodate us on a literal last minute boarding request. I felt completely comfortable leaving my pup with her. She sent multiple pictures each day. After arriving home Rusty was completely zonked out from all the fun and playing with her dogs. Thanks again! I would recommend Kristen and her family to anyone.
Ollie was happy and well cared for. I felt totally comfortable leaving him with Kristen and I knew he would love being with her family and her dogs. He got lots of play time and plenty of cuddles. When I picked him up he was not only happy but so clean! That's an accomplishment for my dog!!

In my experience I’ve learned dogs do best with lots of love, praise and pets. We reserve any verbal correction for safety measures (ie running into danger). I prefer to use treats as bribery in these cases, but I am prepared to save an animal no matter what.

I would like to know the following: 1. Potty & eating habits 2. Nap, Play, and Bolting habits (do they bolt out an open door) 3. Furniture, chewing or nosey habits (garbages, toilets, closets, etc) 4. Favorite (or not favorite) petting, brushing & scratching places 5. Favorite toys, treats (things that make them happy) & Unfavorites (things that make them scared or angry) *These 5 items are for information- not to refuse services* No breed preferences
A typical day
I live in a 1-square mile neighborhood with a park that is 80 yards away! It’s a great park with shade and lots of grass. I also have a waterfall in my fenced backyard - my dogs LOVE to drink and play from it (it is man-made so the water is safe). Also grass and plenty of room to run and chase frisbees, balls, and birds!

I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available to board weekends and weekdays because my husband and I work from home.
