Pet care experience

Hello All! I am excited to join Rover and have an elevated fervor for entering into the field of animal welfare! I am an advocate for animals and have continually worked to ensure that optimum equality, for all, is promoted. My communication skills are excellent; I am well-spoken on the phone, in person, and in public forums. I am highly organized with attention to detail and I am able to keep thorough records. I enjoy coming into contact with a variety of people and pets each day. I am responsible and take the trust of my clients seriously! My organizational skills are outstanding and I am able to keep track of appointments and additional related tasks. I would love to bring my dedication and professionalism to work at Rover as your newest Pet Sitter. I know that my experience and my high level standard of care for all animals would make me a great candidate for your pet sitting needs! I look forward to hearing from you further and appreciate the consideration. *Cat and small animal/ reptile discounted rates!* ABOUT ME: My name is Kristen S. My most recent professional role was as a Behavior Specialist. I gained my B.A. in Psychology at Roger Williams University in 2013 and a M.S. in Forensic Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in 2015. The majority of my experience has greatly been in counseling and behavior. I am currently transitioning into medical administrative/ management roles and am enrolled in the Medical Administrative Assistant Program at Austin Peay University. Job and the Military: I am currently serving in the Georgia National Guard as an 11A, Infantry Officer. I recently transferred from Medical Services and completed Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course in June 2017. A major component of my background that has contributed to my malleability is my experience within the military. I believe the leadership and task skills that I have acquired transpire to all sectors. While there are inherent sacrifices, I have gained an incredible amount of determination and approach all aspects of my life with a learned discipline. I am an avid distance runner! I love to run/ race. I have participated in Varsity Cross Country and Track& Field (distance) since high school, at the collegiate level, and continue to remain competitive within the running community through participation in half/ full marathons (Boston Marathon) and 5-10k road races. Most Importantly: This means I'll be able to keep up with your pup for long walks or runs; helping to expend energy as need be! I am excited to join Rover as an alternative to boarding at a kennel! Rover services assist in bringing quality care and peace of mind with as many updates and pictures as necessary! Booking Requests: -Visits 1-3 times a day please select "Drop-in" -Come in the morning and stay 1-2 hours, leave, and then return around 5-6 and stay the night, please select "House-sitting" (Rover only allows booking 1 house-sitting request at a time. If Rover notifies you that I am booked, please select drop-in visits) I am happy to complete additional tasks requested: getting mail, safeguarding your property, watering plants, taking out the trash, administering medicine, securing the house before departure, over-nights, and small animal care such as cats, guinea pigs, and reptiles.

Kristen has always been an animal lover! Growing up, she has always had animals - dogs, cats, ferrets and more. She is such a loving and caring person. She is very responsible & always on time. I would highly recommend her to take care of anyone’s pets!

Kristen would be an excellent fit for this role. She is kind, compassionate, responsible, and honest. Her love of animals is obvious and she’s one of the best people I know. I would recommend her time and time again!
