I’ve had dogs or helped take care of dogs my whole life. I started as a child walking neighborhood dogs when I was 10. When I was in the Coast Guard I was stationed on land for a few years and helped out other Coasties by pet sitting when they were deployed. About 16 years ago my Rottweiler gave birth to 13 pups. It was an amazing experience!!! We delivered all 13! We were trained by a breeder and took all the proper precautions. We resuscitated two of the pups who went on to live very happy lives. For 10-12 weeks I had 15 dogs living in my home. Oh the stories! I would do it again in a heartbeat. In our home our pets and visiting pets are treated like family. I can and will be flexible with hours and do my best to accommodate your pet needs. We believe in keeping our dog active (I currently have Shepherd/Hound mix). We love walking in the morning and evening during the work week and on weekends we love to take our dog and meet with others to go hiking or to the dog park. If we had our way, we’d have multiple pets but we also like to travel. So doing this is the best of both worlds. We can help out others who are in need of a safe loving place to keep their pet and we get the fulfillment of having more pets in our home.
