Pet care experience
I have worked personally with animals most of my life, from hamsters to horses, and my best memories are those with animals! I currently have a bearded dragon, a chameleon, and 6 cats after rescuing a couple sets of twins. I grew up with dogs, cats, and other small animals and previously worked as a Petco employee, too. My animals are my world, and I know your animals are your world as well. As such, I will give the world to your furry family members while you are away! I have done volunteer work for the Davis County Animal Shelter for walking the dogs, as well as done drop-in visits for cats and senior dogs with the occasional basic grooming in Arkansas and Louisiana. Growing up, I volunteered at a cat sanctuary in Jonesboro, Louisiana where I helped administer medicines to all the sick kitties. I also know how to administer pills, liquids, and syringe medications like insulin.

Kirsten was fantastic. She cares so much for my animals and gave me great updates with pictures! My dog absolutely loved her and got spoiled with plenty of long walks. She was very easy to talk to and met me before hand so I could go over everything with her. I'm a person with major anxiety and I have never left my animals with anyone but family. Now that i have chickens and an axolotl I needed someone who was local and could come by multiple times! She was very flexible and didnt mind just hanging out with my dog on the couch (which is his favorite activity besides walks.) I have another trip coming up soon and I will definitely ask kristen to come watch them again:)

My cats have free range of our house. They are fed twice a day and get treats every other day. If your animals are free to wander the house, the yard, or even to stay kenneled then I can work with that and give them the attention they deserve.

I would like to know first and foremost if there are any medical concerns, such as allergies and medications to be prepared in case of emergency. Also, I like to get in some quality play time for their mental health stimulation and would love to know their favorite toy or activity. Different dogs have different energy levels, so if you want a happily tired dog afterwards just give me a heads up on how much energy we will need to burn together!
A typical day
Your dog deserves the best, so if they have a favorite trail that they like to roam for their walks, I'd love to take them on it for their favorite exercise and mental stimulation. If you're looking for something more than an around the block walk, Ogden has an amazing dog park with tons of other caring pets and pet parents! We might even pop in at the Petco I work at to enjoy a good social event with lots of loves from my coworkers and free treats if you allow snacking. I come prepared with bottled water and a water bowl to ensure we stay healthy and hydrated on our adventure, as well as baggies for pit stops. If you like to reward your doggo with treats along the way, I will provide treats approved by you, the parent, for lack of leash pulling, sitting and waiting at street crossing, and polite manners when passing other pets and pet parents. Also, if grooming services are requested, we will use the Self Wash station at the Clinton Petco where your dog will enjoy the large tubs, shampoos, and conditioner while safely buckled in place.

I will check food, water, and litter boxes daily and adhere to all feeding schedules. I am currently doing Rover full time, so there are plenty of hours in the day for cuddles!
