I love repeat clients! Dogs respond well to familiarity and routine and establishing trust leads to more fulfilling interactions. I've cared for pups ranging from puppies to seniors and chihuahuas to mastiffs. I'm fascinated with animal psychology and believe in utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. I'm happy to work with owners by following their individual desired training details. I believe that each dog, just like each person, is shaped by their life experiences and because of this some will have trauma where others don't. It's important for us to remember this and be kind and accommodating without enabling. I've seen problematic pups transform into easygoing loveable blobs of fluff, but it can take time. Kristen came through for us in a pinch! Despite having never left my pup with a stranger in our 11+ years together, Kristen put us at ease and I had no doubt that my dog was having a good time and well cared for.
Kristen was amazing! We had to go out of town and leave our dogs with a stranger for the first time. Kristen set up a time before hand to meet us and the dogs and immediately put us at ease. The way Kristen interacted with our two dogs showed us that she was confident and smart and could handle their odd quirks and individual personalities . She was so great with both our dogs - one of which is on the older side and can be very moody and sometimes act out - the other is the opposite - overly affectionate and in constant need of attention. Any fear I had about leaving our dogs disappeared after those first few interactions between them and Kristen. While under her care Kristen sent many updates with pictures letting us know that the dogs were doing well. She was very responsive to our communications. She let us know how they did on walks and how their mood seemed to be. She was very open to our needs and expectations and took great care of our dogs and our home. I could not recommend Kristen more - an absolute professional and would welcome the chance to work with her in the future.

I want to get pups as connected with their natural roots as possible, which can be hard in a city. Generally I seek out surrounding parks to take them to so they can get some grass time. I’m also willing to visit a dog park if I have consent and release of liability from the owner.

I’m currently working a choose your own schedule delivery job, so when I’m pet sitting I will not be taking on these shifts. If I need to leave the house for errands I will not be gone for longer than 2-3 hours at the most.
