Wherever you are going, whatever the reason, I'll treat your pets and your home as though they are my own. I love to care for pets because the peace of mind it gives pet owners is invaluable. Not only will you receive thorough updates so you know your pets are well cared for , but I'll be ready to alert you to anything that may come up at your home, as well. My partner and I said goodbye to our very ill 14 yr old diabetic cat in May 2019, and to our 20 yr old hyperthyroidism and CKD cat in December 2023. Having been through various treatments and caring for them toward their end of life, I consider myself honored to carry forward that knowledge and experience to other pets through pet sitting. I have experience administering subcutaneous injections or fluids, taking blood sugar readings, giving pills and tracking supplements, vitamins, and different diet requirements. I am gentle and careful with aging pets who may be experiencing dementia, or diminished hearing or sight. I'm no stranger to pet messes either! Depending on the level of care needed (such as if fluids or glucose testing is needed), we may need to discuss rates further or book a 60 min visit if some of the procedures may take longer or require more persuasion. :) I'm a devoted proponent of animal adoption, spaying and neutering, and donate to the Animal Humane Society, Home for Life, and Wildcat Sanctuary every year. I am a very attentive and conscientious person around pets of any kind or size; I can handle large dogs and rambunctious leash pullers. 🤗 I strive to give your pets as similar a routine as possible while you're gone. Quirky animals are my favorite, and I love getting to know a pet's personality. Clients tell me they arrive home to calm, happy animals and feel comfortable with me in their home. I'm happy to care for your cats, other pets, and/or your dogs; as well as watering plants, taking in mail, shoveling snow, or putting out garbage and recycling as needed.
