Hi I’m Kristen!
Pet care experience
I’ve fostered kittens since the age of 8 and have had dogs all my life. My family does a lot of pet rescue and I’ve had experience with many different pets including some exotics! Over breaks I work as a nurse and a receptionist at a veterinary clinic in PA so I have a lot of animal care experience. I miss getting to see so many cute pets while I am at school which is why I would love to work for Rover!

Kristen, thank you so much again for taking great care of Benny. It was our first time away with him for a week and we could not have had a better experience. We were stress free knowing the two of you were together.
Kristen was great with our 1 year old Bernadoodle puppy, Tillie. I was quite anxious as it was only the 2nd time leaving Tillie, and the first time (with a different sitter) it did not go well. Kristen sent photos daily, and answered any questions/check-ins I had throughout the long weekend away. The house was clean and cared for upon our return, and she even assisted with handling a large package of Tilllie's food that arrived while we were away. It was clear how well cared for Tillie was, as she was was happy and her usual silly self when we returned home. I would definitely recommend Kristen and would book her again anytime we go away.
Kristen did a wonderful job caring for our dog during our vacation. It was our first time leaving him with someone new and he fell in love with her right away. He has some medical concerns, she followed all of our instructions very carefully. She obviously loves animals and is very knowledgeable about caring for them. She sent lots of photos and videos so we could rest easy that he was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend her!

The vet clinic that I work at is fear free certified so I have a lot of experience with how to keep anxious pets happy! I am able to crate dogs if the owner prefers and I am also able to give medications if the pet requires special care. I’m very flexible on the type of pet care that any owner is looking for!

Knowing how your pet interacts with other people as well as other animals is very important to me. Being aware if your dog is anxious around other animals or people is crucial for keeping your beloved pet safe and happy on walks! On top of this I would like to know of any medical issues your dog has or has had in the past to ensure that they stay happy and healthy while in my care!
A typical day
I love to play fetch and entertain energetic dogs. I especially love taking walks around parks in the area where there’s lots of interesting scenery for your dog to explore!

Availability
I have classes Monday-Thursday with gaps in between where I would be available to check in on pets! Most weekends I am available at any time of day making my weekend schedule very flexible!
