Pet care experience
I have been a veterinary technician since 2009 and wouldn't trade it for anything. I work at an animal hospital 5 blocks away from home, so medical care is always close by if needed. I grew up on a little horse farm and always had animals of all sorts, especially dogs. Though Rob didn't grow up with pets, he now wants to bring in any animal that needs a home. Monday and Tuesday we are both in the office, but everyone is still able to be let out every 4 hours. The other days there is usually someone home most of the day. We recently had, what we like to refer to as, a senior center for elderly cats and dogs. But they have all passed and we now have 2 young large dogs, Gramps and Nana. Small senior dogs have our hearts, and we are more than well trained to care for them. Dont let our dogs size deter you, because they are their favorites too. We typically only take on one family at a time. If there are multiple requests for the same dates we will check with both families and meet the dogs before we consider taking them both on. All dogs are family in our house. They get all the same snuggles and get to sleep in the bed if they normally do. I know I love to get picture updates when my dogs are at the sitters, so I like to do the same. If you're dog is unsure about being around our pets, we do have a lot of space and they can have their own room (our dogs are our kids). Taking care of pets is my job. So if you're pet needs medications, injections, fluids, etc. I am happy to do it. We are available for pet care in our home 7 days a week. If you are needing care in your home that will be on a case by case basis of availability. We supervise everyone while they are outside and have 2 separate fenced in yards. One of the yards is larger and contains an in ground pool. They are only allowed in that yard supervised and if you are comfortable with it. If that's the case, we do like to know ahead of time if you're dog likes to swim. If they do enjoy swimming I am happy to clean their ears afterwards so they don't get those pesky ear infections. We have XL and small crates if your dog needs to be crated at night or when we leave. I also have cameras on them to keep an eye out when we are out of the house.

Second time our Guido and Sam have stayed with Kristen and Robert and again, these sitters rock!! They took wonderful care of our fur-babies and told us "they can come back any time we're available, we love them." We can never say enough how much this means to us.
Kristen and Rob (and their own furbabies) were WONDERFUL hosts for Guido and Sam (our Shih Tzu and Shorkie, respectively). They are responsible, kind, caring, and obviously love dogs. We have very high standards for dog-sitters and we could tell Kristen and Rob met them because they told us our pups settled in with them and were comfortable pretty much right away, and stayed that way for most if not all of their stay. We get pretty major separation anxiety when we have to leave any of our dogs (but better us than them), and we were pretty nervous about how they'd do at a brand-new-to-them dog sitter's place, but Kristen and Rob clearly took fantastic care of them and really put our minds at ease. Definitely would, and will, book their services again and highly recommend!!

I might be a little particular about who watches my dog. I have to say Kristin and Robert were terrific. They were very responsive, timely, and communicative from the first “Meet and Greet” to the end of Roger’s vacation with them. Roger was a lucky dog to play with Kristin and Robert’s dogs and enjoy their fenced in backyard pool. Kristin and Robert were so kind and knowledgeable about integrating new dogs into their household. We enjoyed their reassuring and calm manner. Roger agrees and can’t wait for his next visit.

Everyone usually only stays on the main level of the house, except when spending the day working with Rob they can be in a gated area downstairs. There are also about 4 steps to get in and out of the potty yard. This works well for most dogs, but we do carry our seniors.

Availability
Two days a week we are both at the office. I am able to come home during lunch and let everyone out, then Rob comes home a few hours later. Otherwise someone is usually always home.
