FLEXIBLE!/Home full-time/Puppy Mama

Pet care experience

I would love to take care of your dog(s) or cat(s). Our family currently has one dog (she turned five on June 14, 2023) named Jewel who joined our family when she was 8 weeks old. We have two puppies (Daisy and Stella) who were born on January 31, 2023 and joined our family on March 24, 2023. We also have numerous fish. Honestly, I cannot remember a time when I have not had a dog (or cat) and/or taken care of a friend's or neighbor's dog (or cat). And since I work from home a majority of the time, I can adjust my schedule to fit your dog's or cat's needs-- it is wonderful to take a break and get out of the house for a bit and enjoy nature. Working from home also means I can take last minute clients and do not charge you when your plans change suddenly--like you are sick, working from home for the day, or go on a last minute trip because you got a great deal. And I can take your dog(s) last minute when you forget an appointment or suddenly remember your child's event that you need to rush to after work. I can also provide extra visits if your pet is sick and needs additional care just to make sure he or she is doing okay to ease your mind while you are at work or out-of-town for the day. I am willing to take your pets on walks day or night (even in the rain, snow, or blazing sun--I walk dogs for people in our church who can no longer do it themselves when it is convenient for them). (I also volunteer with a local animal shelter.) I play fetch, give baths or towel your pets off after being in the rain or snow, put on sweaters, scoop poo, change litter, clean up messes, give treats or medicine, text photos and updates, give fresh food and water, brush fur, fill Kongs, make food or treats, work on training, and give lots of love, hugs and cuddles, etc. (I even perform tasks like taking out food from your freezer to unthaw because you forgot to do it before going to work, getting your mail, or letting in your cleaning person when he or she forgets the key to your home.) I will tell you if I cannot perform a job but am willing to try most anything. And, if you would like, my husband, son (age 14), and daughter (age 21) can help me when needed so we can easily accommodate more than one pet and provide lots of attention. Just let me know if that is something you prefer. Furry family members bring such joy to our lives and are wonderful companions. They are with us through the ups and the downs of life and love us through it all. I promise I will treat your pets like my own--with love and kindness. (I try to follow the Golden Rule that I have taught my children and my Sunday School kids-- treat others the way you want to be treated.) I understand that you want to feel like your pet's caretaker is trustworthy and reliable because that is what I want when I hire someone when we are away from home. I will happily provide references.

Kristal is the best pet sitter. We love having her take care of our cats. She is so professional and so good with our cats that we have no worries when we are away. She is simply the best sitter we have ever had.

We are extremely pleased with Kristal! She made our time away stress free and enabled us to enjoy our vacation without the slightest worry that our cats were well cared for. We would recommend Kristal to anyone looking for pet care and hope to use her again the next time we are away. She's quite simply, "the best"!

I have no problem caring for pets in other people's homes. I prefer to stay in Morton. I prefer entering your home through a garage if possible so your pet(s) cannot escape if he or she is an escape artist!

Information Kristal T. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any special medical needs, food allergies to be aware of, how often and amount to feed, about preferred treats and toys, tap or bottled water, cues for going outside, where to put their poo, information you want to be included when I text you with updates, is your pet okay with kids, and the name of your local or emergency veterinarian in case he or she would be needed. No breed preferences. I prefer non-aggressive dogs who do not bite. I do not mind dogs who get excited to see me and jump on me when I visit.

A typical day

I would walk wherever your furry family member is used to walking. We can play fetch, chase, tug-of-war, practice commands, etc. Whatever is the norm for your dog.
