Pet care experience
My whole life, my mother was a foster for the animal foundation in my hometown. Our house was constantly filled with animals! We had a zoo of our own to manage, as most as 7 dogs at once, on top of the animals we were housing from the animal foundation. We raised litters of kittens and pups from the bottle until they found their forever home. On top of that, all throughout high school I would pet sit for friends and family members. Since moving away, I have missed the caring of animals. I have had the privilege of watching pets of all different sizes and needs through Rover. I would love to take care of yours! Since my husband is in the military, the constant move and hustle and bustle has resulted in us keeping our fur family rather small. This is where Rover has been a blessing! We love hosting all sizes and breeds in our to treat as our own. I can promise your pet, whether in my home or yours, will be treated as I would treat my very own.

Goliath loved his walk with Krista! He was so relaxed later that day, it was such a relief Krista was available to care for him when I couldn't. Krista was exceptional to deal with. She accommodated a last minute change of plans without any issues.
Krista was excellent at communicating with me when I initially reached out to her. Because of that, we were able to determine that house sitting during the daytime was better for her and Jax. Her willingness to work remotely from our home enabled me to have confidence that Jax wouldn’t be lonely, he would get plenty of outside time and plenty of attention. He is a very chill boy but is a bit of a Velcro dog. Krista confirmed when she arrived, sent photos and updates throughout the day and confirmed when she was leaving. She is a five star lady and we appreciate her so much.
Krista was willing to walk Jax early in the mornings to avoid the heat. I appreciated her flexibility and thoughtful nature. Jax led the way on his walks both days.
Krista was a blessing to find! Ace is only 5 months old and my husband and I were both going to be away from home. He is a very affectionate dog and always wants to be near someone. I hated the thought of him having to stay in a crate or kennel run the whole time. Krista was just what Ace needed during our time away. She kept me updated on how he was settling in and sent pictures of Ace while he was there. I 100% recommend Krista to anyone looking for a pet-sitter!

My husband and I live in a spacious one story. Working from home allows me to spend all the time with your pet either in my home or as much time you want me to spend with them at yours. The amount of time I spend at home allows for me to keep your pet on their schedule for feedings, walks, potty breaks, etc. I am extremely confident in my abilities to make sure your pet is safe in my home or yours. If any damages occur during the stay, I will communicate immediately with the owner. Your pet does not have to be crate trained, we just would like to know if they are anxious being left alone. We have sadly had things destroyed because those details weren’t shared. We do have cats, but they stay behind a baby gate in our room! They love dogs, but I know some dogs can be extra curious of cats. To keep everyone comfortable and happy, we keep them separated until we are certain there won’t be a problem. We have never had an issue, even with reactive dogs.

The meet and greet is a great way for us to get to know each other and sort out all the details. Additionally, yours vets information would be a benefit in case of any emergency.
A typical day
I was an athlete my whole life and through college, which means I love being active! If walks or throwing the ball is something your pet enjoys, we will have a great time. I also have a ton of toys, treats, dog beds, etc to make sure they are enjoying themselves.

Availability
My husband and I just moved to MS with the military. I work remotely full-time (M-Th 9-5) with a lot of flexibility. For care in my own home, working remotely allows me to spend all of my time at home with your pet. Once my work day is finished, I have no other obligations. I am also more than happy to watch your pet in your home, if this makes it more comfortable for them and you. Same schedule applies... working from home means I can be with them as much or as little as you would like. For walks, don't tempt me with a good time! My whole life I have been extremely active, from competitive sports to outdoors hobbies. This means I love the company of walking your pet and getting the both of us some exercise. I have walked dogs as small as my mothers chihuahua and as large as my sisters mastiff. I am very confident in handling large and small dogs. And finally, for drop-ins I don't mind spending a little extra time with your pet.
