Pet care experience
Here to take care of and treat your dogs like a member of our family! Love playing fetch at the nearby dog park and going on walks with dogs! Also enjoy working out a dog's mind with obedience drills and games that require smarts. When the weather is nice, we often go on long day hikes throughout CT and NY to let the dogs enjoy the great outdoors. We work and play hard so you can expect to get back a tuckered out, happy and relaxed pup when his or her stay is over! We will follow whatever behavior policies you have set in your home to make the transition as seamless as possible. We own a happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever that would love to share her space and have a playmate! -Krista and Brandon

Krista and Brandon took Ruby out for such a fun afternoon with their amazing dog Quinn! We booked last minute on Easter Sunday. While we were at dinner, they went to the dog park, ran around and played fetch - Ruby and Quinn became fast friends! What a nice doggy family - I wish we lived closer so we could have play dates more often. We were so lucky to have found Krista, Brandon, and Quinn for Ruby to stay with for Easter Sunday!
Krista and Brandon took such great care of Maisy. She enjoyed going to the park with the other dogs and lots of activity time. They were very responsive and set lots of great photos to keep us connected to our pup. We will definitely contact them again to care for Maisy. She was happy and pooped :) Thank you!!
Riley had a great time staying with Krista and Brandon! They took him for long walks, went for hikes in the park, and swam in the river with their golden retriever. And, after our flight got delayed an extra night, they were so sweet and flexible in keeping him an extra night. Highly recommended!
Krista and Brandon are dog experts! They have definitely done their research on training and caring for dogs, and I would recommend them to anyone! They have both watched my Bernese Mountain Dog (from when she was a puppy to now) and have provided safe and loving care for her, in addition to spending a ton of extra time to help train her. They are extremely nice, caring, trustworthy and responsible individuals. I would highly recommend them!

The more we know about your dog, the better their stay will be! - Health: Is your dog in need of daily medication (how often/dosage)? Which vet do you use? If anything were to happen to your dog under our watch we will try our best to get ahold of, or take your dog to, their vet where they are known. -Language: What basic commands does your dog know? Any that you would like to be practiced? -Feeding behaviors: Does your dog lose their appetite away from home? How much food does your dog eat at a time? When is feeding time? Is your dog allowed treats? -Walking Behavior: Is your dog aggressive towards dogs and/or humans on leash? Off leash? Is your dog off-leash trained/allowed? Any particular quirks or reactivity we should know about? -Bathroom behavior: How many times does your dog poop/pee a day? Does your dog have a command to go? Does your dog hold going potty if the weather is crummy? Does your dog have marking behaviors or accidents at home? -Relaxing: How does your dog like to relax? A favorite blanket/toy (please bring!)? Is your dog allowed on furniture? -Playing: How does your dog like to play and exercise? -Training: Any behaviors you're currently working on that you'd like us to reinforce? Any struggles or "naughty" behavior we should be aware of?
A typical day
We live right by Taylor Farms dog park and go daily (most days twice!) to let the dogs release their energy, run free, and play with other friendly pups (if off-leash or recall trained + with your permission). We also love going on walks and runs and often go to Lake Mohegan when the weather is nice so the dogs can swim and splash in the water. On weekend days we also often take day trips to hike on the trails in CT and NY with the dogs. Krista and Brandon are working professionals. Krista works 7-4PM and Brandon works 9-5PM (both locally) during the week, so they are able to make it home for lunch to let out and love on the pups. When your dogs boards with us they will take multiple walks or trips to the dog park daily depending on their exercise and leashing needs.
