I would highly recommend Krista Budlong with rover.com. She gave me updates and pictures while I was away. I felt confident my dog was in good hands. I also like the idea she was never alone and her family members were there to give her attention as well. I can’t say enough how happy I was with the arrangements. Judy Charlton

I am very pleased with my dogs stay in Kristas home. My dog Chicka stayed for 4 nights. Krista replied to my messages in a timely fashion and even sent me a picture of my dog while she was there. I will be using Krista again in a week, so highly recommend her!

We are very happy with having Krista look after our pups and would highly recomend her services. She made us feel comfortable about leaving our dogs with them. They were tired when they came home which is a sign they had lots of fun!

Home with kids - lots of room

In 2017, we did a six month dog-sitting stint for a friend who was out of the province. Her sweet pup became part of the family and we SO enjoyed it that we would like to repeat the experience. We've had outside dogs before (got my first two farm pups in 1994, when I was a teenager) but this was the first time we've had one inside, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well-behaved ...

What Krista would like to know about your dog

Because we have young children at home, we prefer breeds that are generally known for being family-friendly, but the most important thing for us to know is that your dog is accustomed to being around children and will be safe with ours. Also, we don't accept dogs that are sick or prone to having accidents - no dogs that pee when they're excited, please. I'd also like to know that your dogs are up-to-date on their shots and flea treatments (living in the country, we're a little paranoid of deer ticks).

When Krista watches your pet

I really need some exercise! I'm looking forward to walking your dog - there are some great parks nearby. My children have fetch and tug-of-war covered. We like dogs to be secured at night (at least for the first few nights), so that they don't become disorientated wandering around a strange home in the dark, so we have an extra-large crate we can use, if that is what your dog is accustomed to. Alternately, we can use the main floor powder room at night, or the master bedroom balcony upstairs, which is covered and north-facing - whatever works best for you. We also have two cats at home, but they go into hiding when dogs are around, so I don't anticipate any trouble from them.
