FT Dog Lover w/ Big Yard & Heart!

Pet care experience

*Please note updated information about housesitting at the bottom of my profile* ABOUT ME Hi. Thanks for considering me to care for one of the most important members of your family. Ever since I could remember, I have had a dog. My mother first had a Great Dane and a German Shepherd, then we had Shih-Tzu/ Lhasa Apso mix, then a pure-breed Jack Russell Terrier and now, I’m raising my very own Greyhound who is a therapy dog. Besides my own dogs, I have been lucky enough to be trusted with other people’s animals (from guinea pigs to goats) and it has always been the most rewarding personal experience. WHY I’M DIFFERENT Your dog is now one of my pack. I am home full-time, 7 days a week, which means your dog’s needs can always be met within seconds. One of my first and most formative jobs was as a permanent in-home dog sitter for 3 dachshunds. Their mom had very high standards; I remember boiling chicken, cutting up vegetables, making homemade broth for them, letting them sleep in bed with me, having to carry them after a couple blocks, and while many dog sitters came and went before me, I was trusted for 5 years with them because of how seriously I took that responsibility and trust. I recognize I’m caring for one of your family members, so when they are in my care, they are treated just like my own. I’m not just a casual dog lover. It’s hard to find someone who doesn't love dogs, especially in Seattle, but I’m not just the average. I read canine behaviorist theory for fun, I am constantly researching dog information and products, I love training dogs, playing with dogs, petting dogs, and have been known to get even the toughest dogs in my lap. Because, I have a rare breed of dog myself, I have a special interest in learning the specific needs and idiosyncrasies of individual breeds (one time I even won a trivia contest about dog breeds!). Dogs are not one size fits all, so I meet them where they are and find out how to adapt to what they need. WHY I LOVE DOGS After suffering a debilitating injury, I know how much the love of my dog has been crucial to my recovery. I have had very sweet and loving cats in the past, but nothing compares to the gaze of a dog who puts their head in your lap. Dogs are incredibly smart, heart driven animals- they are more than pets, they are smile makers, best friends, heart doctors, comedians, and family. ABOUT MY HOME I live in the Bothell area, centrally located right of I-405 in an 1800 sq. ft. home with a large fenced yard. Outside, you will find a large grassy area, bark and trees where keen hunters can track squirrels and birds above. I have beds of every shape and size for your dog to chill out on. My dog is a natural host who, like me, loves dogs of all sizes and shapes and enjoys playing. My home tends to be quiet as my own dog isn’t vocal even in rambunctious play. IN YOUR HOME I’ll treat your house like my own. Let me know which plants need watering, dishes that need to be loaded/unloaded or anything else and I’ll get it done. Suni, my dog, will need to come with me to any in-home sitting. I will require her to attend our meet and greet to ensure your dog is comfortable, gets along with her and is well socialized. She loves dogs and is a therapy dog thus she tends to be quiet, gentle and observant in homes when she isn’t playing.

My pup absolutely loves Krisha. She goes above and beyond to make sure that my dog is well taken care of! She really understands dogs and I’ve even learned some things about my pup from her. So thankful for Krisha and what she does for my pup.

If you're looking for a dog sitter, look no further than Krisha! There is no one else with a heart as big and kind as hers. Not only does her generosity extend to humans, but it goes far for animals as well. I've known her for 10+ years and she has always shown that her love for animals is priority. Animals are her family. She takes the time and effort to understand each furry creature that crosses her way so that they can be comfortable and happy. She gives them each the attention they deserve. I highly recommend Krisha to look after your dog!

Information Krisha M. would like to know about your pet

All dogs do need to be house-trained. I’d love to have a meet and greet. • Are they crate trained? That’s a plus as my dog is, but okay if not. • How’s their general disposition? Feel free to brag! • Do they have any special requirements like medication, injuries I should be aware of? • Are they comfortable at a dog park? • Any skills/tricks/training you’d like me to work on with your pup? • Crucial likes and dislikes/triggers While I obviously love greyhounds, I don’t have any breed preferences; I really adore them all but do prefer smaller to medium breeds if they sleep in bed with me, for obvious reasons. :) I do require that the dog gets along very well with other dogs as my dog, Suni, accompanies me. At this time, I don’t accept cat sitting.

A typical day

We typically go to a local dog park every day (if the pack dynamics permit), so I’m familiar with all of them in the Seattle area and Eastside. When we aren’t at a dog park, we are walking through trails or playing in the backyard.
