Pet care experience
Our dogs are beloved members of our family. Over the last 20+ years we've rescued several dear dogs — sometimes one, other times we've had as many as 4 dogs under our roof (or 8, if you count the time we took in a sweet pregnant stray and weaned 6 surprise puppies!) We've loved them from birth through old age, appreciating the special things each one brought to our life. Our current dog, Bing, is a gentle, patient, mellow, 5 year-old female golden retriever who loves to play and is thrilled is have guest pups visit. I teach our teenage son from home, so your pup will rarely be alone. Our yard is fenced, our house has tons of windows for watching critters, we have comfy dog beds, toys, healthy treats, a dog-friendly Subaru wagon, and more love to share than you could imagine.

Ralphie had tons of fun with Kris and her family. Her dog Bing put up with alot from him. I know he was taken very good care of. He got to run and play in the country. We feel very confident on leaving him with Kris again. She sent pictures and updates everyday. He misses his Buddy Bing.
Martin had a great stay with Kris yesterday. It was practice in advance of our trip next week, and now we will take our vacation with absolute confidence that he will be in expert and loving hands. The home is designed to welcome and make dogs and people feel welcomed and safe. And, Kris has an open heart and great experience which adds to this welcome and safety. I will never forget leaving him yesterday and turning back to see Kris and Martin looking out the living room window and Martin licking her face. We are so thankful to have found her. Thank you.
Kris and her family were absolutely the best. My puppy is new to meeting people and she absolutely loved it there. We will definitely be booking another stay with Kris.

Between our dogs and the dogs who have stayed with us, we've had experience with new puppies to wise old souls, tiny Bijons to gorgeous Great Danes, sweet Retrievers to spirited Terriers, quiet Shepherds to bellowing Beagles. They were all loved and welcome! Tell me all about your pup's likes and dislikes, quirks, special needs, joys, and anything that will help you enjoy your time away knowing your baby is in good hands.
A typical day
Our calendar shows availability for 1 dog at a time, but that's so you know your dog is getting all of our attention. If your family has more than one dog that needs our care, just let me know! Our neighborhood is quiet, tree-lined, full of interesting smells, and neighbors who miss our pups! Walks will be full of promise! If your pup likes to go for a weekend ride, a visit to my family's fenced-in country lot for a good run may be in order. Our teen-age son and his neighbor friend are always good for some playtime after lessons are done. The best part of our night is sitting down for a long cuddle on the couch with a sweet canine companion. If your pup needs a little extra love and attention while waiting for your return, that need will be met with compassion and a tender heart.
