As a kid, my first job was a volunteer at the Humane Society at the age of 15. My love of animals began well before that, however. I volunteered in the Boarding Kennel caring for other's dogs. Their pets came in all different shapes and sizes; all ages - young, old, and in-between. I quickly learned that most parents did not like leaving their pets in cages for weeks while they were away (who can blame them!). I think their pets agreed. Volunteering at the shelter quickly morphed into a housesitting/dog-sitting business throughout High School and into early College. I enjoyed getting to know the nuances of the dogs and their temperament. After College I moved on to the big Tech Industry where I worked for far too many years. After leaving big Tech my experience has taught me that spending time with animals is much more cathartic than a cubicle and conference calls. I'm looking forward to lots of walks, exploring parks, beaches, urban hikes along the waterfront, or just chilling on the couch, whatever the pup wants to do; I'm game. I also figure I'll meet some great dogs and people along the way! I look forward to connecting. -- Kris
