"Pet care experience" Growing up, I had four cats and five dogs (not all at the same time!), caretaking and training each one, primarily smalls. I had freshwater fish tanks and took horseback riding lessons. At the age of 9, I had my first dog sitting job, a huge Great Dane who lived next door. He outweighed me, and walking him was a thrill as he pursued anything that caught his interest. My last dog was an athletic, mid-sized cow dog, bird dog blend. Images posted are internet photos to represent animals (similar breeds or sizes) I have cared for and are not images of rover.com client animals. I value your privacy and that of your home and pet. Moving forward to the current day, I take care of animals of all shapes and sizes, ages, and stages of life. Most often, I care for adult dogs and cats that prefer a loving person at home. I have experience giving medications. I've had many pet clients previously via networking, and one family suggested I put a profile on rover.com (2017). I care take pets because I like animals, as you do. Please note, I am an individual, not a business. This doesn't compromise the quality of service; it means only that you assume liability, shared by rover.com coverage. Rover.com takes 20% of fees. Fees are based on the specific needs of your pet, length of engagement, distance from my house, etc. Therefore, the first step is to schedule a Meet & Greet to learn more. I do not confirm pet care without first having a Meet & Greet with yourself and your animal(s) at the home where they are based. It is best to Meet & Greet fairly promptly; rover.com blocks pet sitters' calendars per service while requests are still active. Next, I may adjust the rates you are reading, depending on your needs. Please keep in touch. If we are messaging and you fall out of touch before we meet or the booking is confirmed, I will Archive the request. "Schedule" My effort is to keep your daily or weekly routine with your pets. This helps keep them calm and happy! I do also run errands and go about my regular life. "Safety, trust & environment" Rover.com indicates my response time. Rest assured your animals are in good care. If there is an issue (property destruction, medical need) you will be contacted promptly. ***Before you leave please speak with your veterinarian regarding their requirements for allowing your pet to receive care in your absence. Next, confirm with me that you have left a signed letter of Consent to Treat for use in the unlikely case of an emergency. Thank you! *** In general I do not commit to sending photos. Reasons for this are that I hope you can be fully on your trip, rather than mentally still at home. I am also a classically trained photographer (Bachelor of Arts). If I do send a photo, I try for a true snapshot. :) I don't agree with the rover.com policy of automatically (it is a toggle we have to turn off, per photo) adding photos of your pets or home to my profile, for your privacy. I follow the latest Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines concerning COVID-19 protections and work with clients willing to do the same. Thank you!
