Pet care experience
I am a retired court employee who loves dogs and cats and has a lot of free time. I have six dogs of my own--a boxer, chorkie, Scottie, three Cavalier King Charles spaniels--and three cats. I take my boxer and Scottie to the dog park every day. I have fostered dogs for the last six years in my home for various rescue groups for up to six months. Each breed has a rescue site for each state, and I post dogs on these sites for various shelters, as well as volunteering to help them on adoption days. When I keep a dog at my house and have to leave to run errands, etc., I try not to be gone very long. I have a good-sized fenced yard with a high board fence. There is a pet door from the kitchen to the yard. I will be glad to keep your dog at my house, take it to the dog park, groomer or vet. Or if you prefer, I will go to your house to care for your pet and will be happy to water the plants, bring in the mail, or anything else you need done.

Stay away! My dog was viciously attacked multiple times under Kris’s care. She said she didn’t keep her boxer away from him after the second attack because she didn’t want to crate her dog 24 hours a day. She didn’t take my dog to the vet and didn’t inform me until I got home from vacation. My dog had bulging, bloody eyes and wounds all over his neck and back. My vet said he was lucky to have survived. This service does not screen people effectively. Apparently the zero stars I give her will not appear next to my review so I will just note that here. I selected one star just to be sure something was recorded.
I have used Kris twice for overnight stays and will continue to book with her. My dog absolutely loves going to her and I completely trust her with Argo! It’s easy to tell that she’s an animal person and treats each dog as if they were her own!
Kris has been a pet sitter for me since I moved to Baton Rouge two years ago. I was so fortunate to find such an amazing caregiver for my dog Bettye. She has kept Bettye at her home numerous times and Bettye never wants to I leave when I come for her. That makes a huge statement! One stay Kris had to give Bettye medicine for a urinary tract infection which was no problem and Kris gave it as directed. I did not have to worry about it. I highly recommend her as a pet caregiver, you are getting the best:)!
