I grew up with both dogs and cats: Labs, German Shorthair pointers, German Shepherds, dachshunds, beagles, jack russell terrier are some breeds I am familiar with. I cannot have a dog of my own where I live because I live in a friend's small town home, and so this is my avenue to "have a dog" without having one. Have confidence that I will treat your pet as if he/she is my own whether it is just a walk or an overnight stay.
