Pet care experience
I owned my first dogs when I was a teenager. We had 3 great dogs since they were all puppies that were all medium to large in size. I trained them, played with them, and loved them to bits. For the past 6 years (including 2 years on Rover), I have spent my time with friends dogs when they're out of town. In the most recent 3 years, I’ve cared for my own senior special needs dog who we sadly said goodbye to very recently. As a result, I have experience with a number is senior or medical needs such as administering oral medications, giving twice daily insulin shots, and eye and ear drops. It's been a very rewarding experience taking care of so many pups and going on plenty of adventures and cuddling. I also spend as much free time as I can volunteering at local animal shelters and hope to one day be even more active in finding rescue dogs loving and lasting fur-ever homes.

Kirstyn is an animal lover through and through. She puts such care and consideration into the animals she cares for and loves them like her own. She is incredibly responsible and respectful of owners, their fur babies, and their needs.
Kirsten was very accommodating and made me feel like my pup would be well taken care of (important since it was too short notice for a meet and greet). She treated her as if she were her own, and when I picked her up you could tell they bonded! I would definitely use Kirsten again.
Kirstyn is amazing! Winston was a happy pup during his stay with her, she checked in with me at least once a day, and sent lots of fun photo updates. When travel plans didn't allow me to get back into NYC until late, Kirstyn was accommodating. I would highly recommend her!
Our pup Leo had a great stay with Kirstyn! Kirstyn was available last minute after our original plans fell through. She made us feel very comfortable leaving Leo with her and was easy and professional to communicate with. She sent us some great pictures though Leo only stayed with her for one night--it looks like they had a blast! We'll definitely use her again :)

I love all dogs and each is different in their needs and routines. I find that knowing their routine and owners presences for care, feeding, scheduled walks, etc. leads to a happier and unstressed pup while their dog parents are away. I want the pup to be as comfortable as possible with me. I am also super comfortable with medical needs and special requirements per both my dog sitting and personal 3-year experience with our special needs pup.
A typical day
I really enjoy taking dogs on long walks around our lush neighborhood. I'm very active myself and believe in keeping up a dogs activity as well for their own health and happiness. i also enjoy the dog park and socializing with other dogs as permitted by their owner.
