I'm currently working part-time and I work remotely, so I have flexibility to work anywhere and around your pet's schedule. I can drop in during the day, walks and playtime early mornings, evenings and weekends. I have no pets of my own so your dog would have my undivided attention.

Information Kirsty R. would like to know about your pet
I've worked with dogs of differing temperaments and needs from arthritis, other medical conditions and behavioural issues. I'm happy to administer any medications needed and ask that we have a clear schedule for me to know when medications are expected. In terms of other needs, quirks, fears, excited behaviours, please tell me anything I need to know beforehand or at our Meet and Greet so I know what's normal for your pup(s).
A typical day
I think for most dogs, learning and mental stimulation is just as important as physical activity and play time. I'd happily teach your dog a few tricks, how to walk to heel etc. There's also plenty of time for play tug, frisbee, ball, hide and seek - whatever your dog is into! I'm happy to take your pup to their favourite spot or mix it up to keep things interesting.

Pet care experience
I'm honoured to have looked after many dog friends over the years. From the early years of secondary school, I've been dog walking, dog sitting and training dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and temperaments and I've loved every second of it. I adore dogs, as much as I love all animals, dogs are special. It's a privilege to spend time with them and my approach to dog care is to love and care for all dogs as though they were my own. That doesn't mean I will let dogs do whatever they want, I believe it's important to reward good behaviour and to maintain good behaviour even when the owners are away - you don't want to come back to a dog with bad habits! I'll happily talk through this with you to ensure you're happy with my approach and ensure we're on the same page. Most importantly, know that your dog will be cared for as though they were my own. With all the cuddles, pets, walks and play they want! I'm also a proud volunteer for Raystede Animal Sanctuary near Lewes where I've been volunteering fortnightly since May 2023. I've also worked for an animal talent agency whilst living in Australia, where I was lucky to work with and train animals used for TV, Film and in Advertising.

Reviews

Kirsty was terrific, she did a fab job of looking after our cat, Mabel, for a week over the festive season while we travelled to see family. We received detailed updates and some very cute pictures and it was clear to see that Mabel was in very safe and capable hands whilst we were away. We would absolutely recommend Kirsty and will definitely book her again in the future!

We had just taken in an elderly cat when her owner sadly passed right before the Christmas holiday when we were going to visit grieving family. Our elderly lady Petal wasn't in the best shape, incredibly skinny and with bad kidneys. We scrambled to find someone to look after her on such short notice and were very lucky to find Kirsty! She kept Petal company, ensured she was fed and had a clean litterbox. When we returned we were overjoyed to see that she was putting weight back on and was looking so good! Kirsty was genuinely absolutely amazing at dealing with everything, especially as we were so nervous leaving our little lady behind but Kirsty made sure we had nothing to worry about.

Extremely Unprofessional and Untrustworthy Experience. In the beginning, Kristy said all the right things to secure the job, but as soon as we left, her behavior became erratic and immature, including repeated tantrums. She made false and alarming accusations against our dog, causing unnecessary stress and panic. Midway through the booking, she demanded additional money and later refused to take the dog on walks, pressurising us to return earlier than planned and putting us in an impossible situation. Despite agreeing to one set of terms with us, she told a completely different and contradictory story to the agency. Her statements changed depending on who she was speaking to, making it clear that her word cannot be trusted. When we finally returned, our dog was found in complete distress and visible anxiety. To make matters worse, she walked away with arrogance and zero accountability, leaving us scrambling to deal with the situation she created. This was not just unprofessional—it was irresponsible. Warning to other pet owners: only hand over your dog to this sitter if you truly do not care about your pet’s well-being. I had to give one star for this review to be officially posted. I would give a negative 5000 stars if I could.

Kirsty looked after our two dogs for us in our home while we were away on holiday. The dogs clearly adore her and Kirsty is very responsive to their needs, adjusting their walks and organising enrichment activities to ensure that they got both mental and physical activity. Kirsty also kept them well groomed, even bathing them when they got particularly dirty playing in our garden. Kirsty kept in touch with us while we were away and sent us regular updates, photos and videos. We came home to a tidy house and happy hounds. We will be engaging Kirsty’s services again.
