Passionate trustworthy animal lover

Pet care experience

Hello, I’m Kirsty and I am an animal care assistant for an animal rescue centre. I volunteered in the kennels for nearly a year and now work at the centre full time. 🐶 🐱 I have owned pets for as long as I can remember, they have always been very close to my heart and I’d do anything to make sure they’re happy and healthy like I’m sure you would 😊 I have a wonderful Huntaway rescue girl called Boo and an amazing rescue collie boy called Buddy, I also have 2 lazy cats called Kobe and Meeko. I love animals of all breeds, shapes and sizes, and would like to help our little furry (or not so furry) friends whenever I can. I love long walks and hikes with little companions by my side and I’m always looking for new places to explore with them! I would be available for early morning or evening walks, I can also do pop-ins in the morning or evenings, and would also be happy to do house-sitting with enough notice 😊. Thank you for reading 🐕 🐈🥰

Kirsty is great at her job. I feel my cat George is in great care. I don’t like to leave him, but with the updates I feel very assured. I have come back to a happy cat.

Very very pleased with kirsty's care of bluebell and Jasmin. Particularly enjoyed seeing the pictures sent after each visit. Very reassuring to see them so happy and relaxed. Kirsty herself was very amenable and friendly Kirsty even washed up there bowls at the end of her visit. Will definitely be using her again

We were very happy with Kirsty. Her drop in visit to Snowy went very well. Snowy was happy and we will definitely be asking Kristy to care for snowy again in the future. Thanks Kirsty 😊

As long as I’m told what requirements/food schedule/medication your floofs need, I’m more than happy to do this for them. I also need to know how they are on walks, whether they’re best around other dogs or whether I need to go on more secluded walks with them. I’m good at ready animals body language so will never push any boundaries and will do my best to make them feel at home and happy.

Information Kirsty O. would like to know about your pet

Where they like to go, how they are on walks, what food they have and when, whether they need medication, behavioural issues to be aware of, routines, and their likes and dislikes. Also I put ‘yes’ for being able to administer injected medication to dogs.. I haven’t injected dogs before but I’m capable of administering insulin injections to cats.

A typical day

My favourite place to take dogs for walks is on the moors or the woods, and I like to walk as long as all our legs can take us! But will of course rather go where the dogs prefer to go and wherever makes them happiest.

I currently have a full time and part time job but I’m happy to do early morning or evening walkies and drop ins. I also love dog boarding in their home so they feel comfortable but will need atleast 3 weeks notice so I can make personal arrangements.
