Pet care experience
We have always had dogs in our home and are lucky enough to share our space with two Ewoks (Havanese/Pomeranian cross). I’ve been fortunate to pet sit for our friends and family over the years, and joined Rover to extend that experience because we love it so much, as do our pups.
Reviews
We are incredibly thankful for Kirsty's kindness and attentive care! Leaving our small dog, who misses his family is never easy. Knowing he is in good hands makes all the difference. He came home relaxed and happy :) Kirsty, thank you again
Kristy is so sweet with the pups! Leo knew when he was getting close to her house and started whining with excitement! We will to continue to use her services as long as she’s taking pups! Leo has a blast and comes home ready for a nap! Daily updates and photos are also always sent, which my 4 yr old daughter especially loves when she’s missing her buddy! Her home and yard are set up and secure for little dogs also!
If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Kirsty has the biggest heart and has to be the most passionate dog lover I’ve ever meet. My puppies were in such capable loving hands and she cared for them above and beyond what was expected. They had such a great time being loved and pampered by her and her daughter and they had a ball playing in her yard while feeling and being very secure. Kirsty kept me posted everyday by sending me pictures and text, I didn’t think they’d ever want to come home, they must have thought they died and went to puppy heaven. I would not hesitate to recommend Kirsty I feel very fortunate to have found her.
My dogs had a great vacation!

Safety, trust & environment
We have a lovely oversized backyard which our dogs truly love and appreciate, and it has been escape proofed. In the summer, we set out their tent, toys and breezy summer beds for reprieve from the heat. In the winter, we section off the garden and enjoy more structured exercise. Our neighborhood offers amazing walking paths close to a provincial park - lots of new smells and views on walkies.

Information Kirsty C. would like to know about your pet
If your pet has any special needs, please just let me know. Medications and special diets are easily managed in our home. It is always my goal to continue the same level of care that your pet experiences at home including sleeping arrangements; for instance, if your pup sleeps in your bed with you, we will happily do the same in our home.
A typical day
We tend to run our day much like children's daycare: Our Daily Schedule: • Bathroom & Breakfast upon waking. • Walk or Dog Park (with your permission; we only go to Lacombe gated dog park in St. Albert) • Bathroom breaks every 2 hours or whenever someone asks and then everyone is invited. • Snack time (small treat of dried liver, dentastix or similar) is served at my lunchtime (only fair). • Nap/quiet time with mama from 1 – 3pm. • Afternoon play is followed by dinner around 5pm, after which all food is put away until morning. • Outside playtime with friends or walkies to follow dinner. • Winddown for bedtime begins around 8pm. Everyone one sleeps as they would at home (whether that is in our bed, in a crate, or on their chosen bed from the many option available).

Availability
I have, and continue, to work from home as I have done for many years on my own schedule which is a blessing. Our dogs have always appreciated mom being around and it means lots of attention to anyone staying with us as well. Our fenced garden is approx. 30’ x 80’ and is entirely secure with our smallest guests in mind. Our maximum number of guests at one time for overnight stays is 4; I do welcome up to 4 day visitors as well and all of our guests are under 30lbs (or thereabouts – some of us have a touch extra fluff). We are a free feed home unless someone has an allergy, which means that food is available from morning until dinner time (brand: Beneful). Breakfast and dinner is always more enticing with homemade food (whole grains, ground beef and veg) and salmon oil added to their kibble unless otherwise directed. Earliest drop off time is 7am and latest pick up time is 8pm as we start settling everyone for the night after that. If it's your first time staying with us, the latest drop off is 5pm; this is to ensure that your pet has ample time to sniff, explore and get comfortable with our home, our family and our guests.
