Pet care experience
I have had a pet my entire life. My husband and I don’t have children yet, so our animals are our babies. I have cared for animals of all ages. (From minutes old to senior dogs.) I have been a “hired” dog sitter for about 6 years now. One of my puppy parents recommended I join Rover so other dogs wouldn’t have to be boarded at vets, in kennels all day. I am very patient with animals because I understand they can’t use words to tell us what they need/want.

This is the second time I’ve had Kirstin watch my dog and cat. She is always kind and understanding about my many requests for my special needs pup (was paralyzed due to IVDD and now has many accommodations) and she meets the needs. This go-round there was almost a scheduling conflict but Kirstin made it work and I am so grateful that I didn’t have to change my plans. It’s hard to find someone that I can trust with my sweet pup and I will book Kirstin again in the future!
Kirstin did a great job looking after my two cats! They were well cared for, had plenty of play, and were happy campers the whole time!

I can stop in for a few minutes or a few hours depending on the needs of your animals. I am more than happy to take them out on a leash, or let them out in the yard, whatever they are used to. I love to give them lots of loving and attention (if they’ll accept it). I am also open to any other activities they enjoy (such as fetch, playing with toys, etc.)

If your dog requires any medications, or special accommodations please let me know ahead of time. I do typically give milk bone treats (if okayed by the owner) unless I’m left with other treats for them.
A typical day
Depending on your dogs needs I may take them to a dog park, or just let them run out some energy in the yard. We have paved sidewalks in our neighborhood so if they do well on a leash we can walk around my neighborhood.

Availability
I am currently working part time, and in nursing school. I can happily offer my services on weekends, I will have a couple of week days open as well. I can also watch your animals for a few hours, do drop ins, or just during the day if you have things you need to get done.
