Loving & fun & can help with training if needed

Pet care experience

I have been pet sitting for over ten years, I am also a certified dog trainer which I did to better understand dog behavior. I am always happy to help with basic training needs. I have also worked in a pet shop, where we were trained in dog and cat nutrition. I am an artist and love drawing portraits of the dogs and cats I look after. Animals give so much joy and love, it is really fun to be around them. I was born in Scotland, raised in South Africa & England. I spent 12 years living in Seattle and the past 3 years living in Stockholm. I am now back in England developing my art work, so I am home all of the time. I am starting a BA in drawing which is online. So my time is spent at home drawing and studying. My schedule is very flexible. When I am in your home, I find that the dogs are more secure, if I stick to your established routine. We can discuss when you walk your dog, feeding times and sleeping routine.

Kirstin is a wonderful companion to our little pup, Romek. She’s a calm and reassuring presence, unrelentingly professional and trustworthy. We recommend her without hesitation.

Kirstin spent 2 weeks at our house with our cockapoo - the doggy had a great time with lots of walks and Kirstin sent us daily updates and photos. She even painted a portrait of our dog which was so good I decided to buy it! Kirstin is lovely and also took good care of our home, and even got milk for us for when we got back from our long haul flight :)

Kirstin is a trustworthy, kind, and gentle dog whisperer. Our little boy had a wonderful time her when she came to look after him overnight in our home. He has separation anxiety and for an agreed fee, Kirstin was happy to stay with him round the clock. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her Kirstin again, and we know Romek can’t wait to hang out with her.

Kirsten was fantastic! We were away for 10 days and it was the first time we’d left our dog with anyone other than family. We arranged a couple of trial walks and he adored Kirsten straight away. It made our holiday much more relaxing to know he was being well cared for at home, and the house was immaculate when we got back. Thank you!!

Information Kirstin K. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog is dog reactive or is a resource guarder, guarding food, toys etc. It would also be helpful if your dog has any health concerns or medical conditions.

A typical day

I like to take dogs for walks on trails if I can or to the park. I like to change this up and keep the walks fresh. I can teach dogs tricks and play games with them, teaching them to sniff for treats around the home. And of course, lots of cuddles.
