Pet care experience
My name is Kirstin. I love all kind of pets, from dogs to reptiles and everything in between. I take everyone's pets in as if they are my own and love them as if they are my newest addition. I am a former volunteer at Paws on Grant Ave. I started volunteering to show the animals some love while staying at the shelter, unfortunately between being a mother to a young child and my school work I have not had time to go recently. I have cared for many pets that have special needs and requirements, from oral medicine and insult shots to separation anxiety and high energy. I had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, geckos, an iguana, and intricate fish aquariums. I have moved from my parents house aka my mini zoo and have two cats of my own. I am now a stay at home mom while attending nursing school. My daughter is my mini me when it comes to her love for animals. She loves meeting new pets, she gets so excited to go on walks and help care for them.

Kirstin is an amazing find. Kind, courteous, gentle, considerate of our pets needs. She helped us out last minute - at the holidays no less! We had an elderly (super-senior!) cat with special medication needs who she was more than willing to accommodate. And she had no problem with our other cat's raw diet and medication. She was so respectful of our privacy, and even willing to open and close the window shades to keep up our normal routines for our cat while we were away. Beyond that, she is a lovely person who instantly put us at ease with the idea of having her in our home. Like many, we were a little nervous to try Rover, and now after meeting Kirstin for our first stay we tell our friends "Don't be nervous, try it!" It is such a relief to know that Kirstin is available to take such good care of our precious family members.
Kirstin was took great care of our three cats! She even got our moody female cat to play with her. Thank you Kirstin!

I like to know if he or she has aggression towards anything, any allergies. dislikes, and fears. Of course I really like to know about what the dog (s) like to do for fun, do they have a favorite treat, chew toys favorite place to go (ect.).
A typical day
My main goal is to make you and your fur-baby as happy as possible! If you have a high energy, fast paced, active dog we can go on jogs and runs around the neighborhood or go on a more intense hike through a park that has trails. If you have a dog who likes to walk around at his/her own pace and stop to smell that roses we can go on slow paced walks that the dog and myself find very relaxing, around the neighborhood, on the edge of the local creek or take it easy by walking on trails... Wherever the little sniffer takes us is where we will go, side by side to our next adventure. On walks I carry treats, a hybrid bowl/ bottle of water for constant hydration, and of course potty bags. I will continue to instill any special commands on our walk that you request. I love to take dogs outside throw a ball and run around, I also like to take dogs out by water and cool down (either by a hose, a small doggy pool, or in the creek), I also really like to take dogs to doggy parks. and taking car rides (if they like to go for rides). I am 100% open to doing new activities with your pet!

I have a pretty flexible schedule, I am a stay at home mom and a nursing student with reliable transportation. I am available weekdays and weekends.
