Pet care experience
I have always been a huge dog lover, and have taken care of other people's dogs for years. I currently have 7 dogs who I regularly walk/sit for on and off Rover, 4 of which are dachshunds (so I am quite familiar with this breed and their specific behaviours and temperament).
Reviews
Kirstin was responsive and provided cute photos of my dog on the walk. Would recommend!
Kirstin has been a walker and sitter for our dog and I couldn't recommend her more! Sharkie comes back tired, happy, and calm even when she's away for a few days. Kirstin is great at keeping me updated, is responsive, and has a natural ability to connect with a dog and care for them :)
Kirstin looked after my dog Geoffrey for a few occasions. I just have good things to say about her. She is a great Sitter, takes proper care of him and pays attention to his needs. I recommend her as a Sitter for any dog.
Kirstin is my favourite and most reliable dog sitter on Rover. I recommend her with no hesitation. She always answers quickly, always on time, and always sends lots of updates and pictures. Storm is super happy with her and feels very comfortable around her.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very confident when meeting new dogs, but also always allow them to come to me - I find this combination tends to help nervous pups warm up to me more quickly. I have also had experience with a range of behavioural issues e.g. fear of other dogs. In these situations, I make sure to avoid any known triggers and implement any training techniques that the owner has been using.

Information Kirstin G. would like to know about your pet
Please me know if your dog has any special needs or preferences so that I can cater for them and make sure it is the best experience possible for you and them. Please also let me know their daily routine and any essential care info e.g. can they be let off the lead in a park, are they ok with other dogs etc.
A typical day
When I have a new dog to stay in my flat, I generally leave them to have a sniff around for 10 mins to get their bearings, then let them come to me when they are ready for some cuddles/playtime. I will of course vary the length/frequency of walks in line with the owner's preferences, but I love going on long walks, and will happily take your dog out for hours! I live a 10 minute walk from Weaver's Fields, and 20 minutes from Haggerston Park (always full of friendly dogs, and has mini paddling pools so the dogs can cool off in the heat). I also live 25 mins from Victoria Park which is v big, and perfect if your dog likes longer walks. I also make sure to punctuate their day with lots of play time in between naps, and generally will take them down for a toilet break every 2 hours, although can be more regularly if needed.

I am very active and playful and always make sure to give the dogs my full attention and energy so they have lots of fun. I really enjoy building a relationship with a new dog and find it extremely rewarding as I see their attachment and trust in me grow.
