Will love your dog like my own!!
Pet care experience
Growing up, my friends always called me the dog whisperer because wherever I went, the dogs would just flock to me (and I to them). I’d been bugging my husband Corey to let me get another dog but the timing just wasn’t right. So in July of 2019, he encouraged me to sign up to become a Rover sitter and here I am! We started out in Illinois and moved to California in March, 2020. In August, 2023 we relocated to Louisiana! I work from home so I can guarantee lots of attention for your pup! We live in a house with lots of space for running around and we have a partially fenced yard - it’s fenced in the front for safety but we have a woodsy backyard and we chose not to fence it in because our dog loves to explore. The back is completely away from traffic but if your dog is known to run away, we will of course take extra precautions during potty breaks. Our dog Whiskey is our child and we would expect only the best care for him so that’s the kind of care we plan on providing for your pup as well! My husband and I are very active so you can be assured that your dog will still get several walks every day in addition to so much play time, petting and love! We are very easy-going and accommodating so we will work with you to make sure you have full peace of mind while your dog is in our care! All that being said, it would be an absolute honor to care for your dog while you’re away, and I promise you will not regret it! ***Update*** My husband and I just had our first baby in May of 2021. While that wouldn’t impact the level of care we will give your dog, we understand that not all dogs like babies/kids so we want to be as transparent as possible before you make a decision to book your pup’s stay with us! Thanks! Kirsten and Corey

Kristen was amazing! We felt we could trust her right away after our meet & greet, and plenty of much-appreciated updates and pictures made us feel Zag was in great hands the whole time we were gone. Was always responsive both leading up to the booking as well as during. It's a stressful situation using Rover for the first time and leaving our beloved pup in a stranger's hands, but we couldn't ask for a safer and happier home to provide for our dog in our absence..
Kirsten watched out older lab Cody for a couple of days when we went out of town. She saved our trip by being available at the last minute when our other sitter had to cancel. Cody was stubborn and would not eat or drink. Kirsten was diligent in communicating this with me and even went to the store to get hamburger and rice to see if Cody would eat that. Kirsten went above and beyond expectations by hand feeding Cody to make sure he ate. Needless to say, Cody not eating made me stressful but knowing that Kirsten was there making sure he ate gave me peace of mind so I could enjoy my weekend! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Cody!
Kirsten is so great with my dog Winston!!
Kirsten was beyond awesome. A true dog lover. Kirsten has a dog so she was willing to meet in advance to ensure that our dogs would get along. They got along great. Kenzo felt right at home and made a friend. I received several daily pics and videos. It was an overall great experience.

At night, your pup will sleep in our bedroom on one of our dog Whiskey’s spare beds (unless your dog typically sleeps in a crate). During the meet and greet, we always ask what rules you have for your pup so that we can follow them to the best of our ability (i.e. you don’t allow your dog on the couch, no human food, etc.)

Information Kirsten W. would like to know about your pet
Will your dog run off if not on a leash? Does he/she have any dietary restrictions? What are the rules you have for your dog that you would like us to follow? How is your dog with toddlers?
A typical day
We’ll do lots of playing in the house/our large backyard and we’ll go on as many walks as needed based on the weather/your pups energy level.
Services

Availability
I work full time from home so I’m around to let your pup out as many times as needed and your dog will get at least 2 walks a day!
