Registered Nurse and animal lover

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of animals since I was a child, starting with horses in 4H. I went to Oregon State University and studied animal science for 3 years before switching my major to nursing so I've studied animal nutrition, anatomy, and behavior in addition to my real life experiences. I've owned big and small dogs my entire adult life and participated in a variety of training programs with them. Your pet will be loved and spoiled while in my care! I work part time as a nurse, so i can pop in for potty breaks as needed. My husband is home full time to keep the animals company. We have a fully fenced (6ft) private yard with grass, gravel, shade, and room to run around and play. We have crates, portable gates (I'm looking at you, counter-surfers) and doors that can utilized to provide safe separation and comfort to any household visitors during their stay. One of my dogs is dog-selective, so all house-dog interactions with your dog(s) will be closely monitored and based on a behavior/personality assesment.

A typical day

We try to start and end every day with a walk- a tired out dog is a happy dog! On the weekends I take boarded/daycare dogs for a hike (if appropriate) or to a nearby dog park depending on temperament and individual needs. Even if we stay close to home there's a big backyard to romp around in and everyone gets to have some fun!
