Pet care experience
I am a Wildland FF that spends my off season caring for dogs. I am also a volunteer structure FF/EMT & exercising with dogs helps me stay fit too. I've had dogs all my life & currently have two at home, a Viszla & Lab, and a cat! Rover sitters have been an essential part of my life..allowing me to work & travel knowing my pets are safe and happy. My experience with dogs ranges from hiking & writing about 50 best hikes with dogs in SoCal...to five years as a Veterinary Laser Technician & Assistant here in CO. I am happy to care for dogs of all ages ..from eager puppies to senior dogs w special needs. Poop, pee, medications, diapers, etc..no problem. I am reliable, honest, patient, mature (45;) and kind. Most available for check-ins/walks/runs. I am a firm believer in scheduling/routine walks with your dog prior to boarding and will board dogs if it's a good fit for the animals. I completely understand how comforting it is to get Update pics of your pet from a sitter..so I will gladly send these, if desired. I am accepting new clients at this time. If I am housesitting, I would prefer a cigarette free home. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We had never used a dog/house sitter and thus were apprehensive, but Kirsten’s manner quickly put our minds at ease. Soon after departing, she sent pictures of the dogs relaxed and sleeping — confirmation that we had chosen the right person. She sent daily updates, which included great photos. We had total confidence in her ability to manage the dogs and anything else that might have arisen. We also found Kirsten to be reliable and diligent, and hope to use her in the future. Highly recommend.
I have worked with Kirsten over 12 years and as a veterinarian she has served the animal population in my practice well she is compassionate loving responsible always on time and very observant if there’s anything that needs further treatment I would highly recommend Kirsten as any type of animal caretaker.

I have known Kirsten for 10 years I first became acquainted with Kirsten had a local animal hospital. I was in need of a dog sitter I came up with the idea of asking her to watch my four-legged family. At the time I had 7 dogs. They bonded immediately and enjoyed Kirsten‘s company as much as they love me. As time went on I adopted some damaged dogs through rescue. Kirsten had not only earned my trust to watch my dogs and take care of them she earned their trust to where she became part of the family. I would highly recommend Kirsten to watch walk and care for any dog. She has a special touch that has given me comfort while away on trips. Kirsten would be a perfect fit for rover.com
