Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Kirsten and I’ve been pet sitting since I was 8 years old. I have been a Rover sitter since 2018 and cannot find another gig that makes me happier! I have a Lab/Pitt mix named Bernard and he is the sweetest and most kind pup ever! I am currently pet sitting as my full time income and love absolutely every bit of it! I currently do not board dogs and cats. I only house sit in your home due to preferences of roommates. I used to watched over my neighbor’s dogs as a child and have performed any tasks from feeding to walking to giving baths. I also have experience watching over my roommate's cat for months at a time. I have experience with senior dogs such as administering insulin for those who are diabetic. I have also given an inhaler to a cat who had asthma. I believe I can learn any extra care that your pet may need to feel his/her best! I also trained my own dog, Bernard lots of different tricks and manners. He knows how to sit, shake, roll over, kiss, and bark! I am an avid lover of Cesar Millan and have watched and learned the ins and outs of dog training. Although, I am not a professionally licensed trainer, I am more than happy to give advice and tips and teach your dog during the sitting! I am the biggest animal lover you will find and cannot wait to spend time with your pet! I look forward to meeting your pets and can’t wait to play with him/her. I promise to provide your pet with the best comfort as much as possible. I will always update you with pictures and videos while you’re away so you don’t have to worry about your loved one! I will take your dog to dog parks and walk them to many places as well as play and entertain them for as long as they will enjoy! I will give your cat lots of love and attention! I also work as a dog walker on Wag with over 1000+ 5-star reviews! You can also see that all of my Rover reviews are all 5 stars as well! :) Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I am available or if you have any questions or concerns! I would love to set up a meet and greet to get to know you and your furbaby first before booking! I hope you choose me as a trusted sitter and I can't wait to be a regular for your loved ones. :)

Kirsten was great! Communication and most of all care of my 3 year old dog was excellent. Followed instructions, quickly connected with my dog where he was cuddling next to her, and took him on walks. Would recommend!

Kirsten was GREAT with our cat Susan! Super fast response time, great communication. She even came by & met her the day before which really put us at ease. She was on time, followed the instructions we left, sent pictures of our girl and even fed the stray cats on our porch. She will definitely be back when we need a reliable cat sitter. Can’t recommend enough!

I make sure to give your pet the best care I can! I will walk them or take them out before I leave if needed. I can give medications or insulin shots if needed. I also have experience with administrating an inhaler to a cat with asthma. I can also take any type of safety precautions if needed such as closing gates, fences, doors and putting away hazardous objects or food. If they need to go in the kennel before I leave the home, I will gladly do so and be responsible of that!

Information Kirsten L. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know your dog’s name, age, and breed. I would also like to know if your dog is neutered or spayed and if he/she takes any special medications. I would also want to make sure that your pets are ok with being left alone for at least 8 hours of the day. I walk and drop in on other dogs some days so my schedule can get hectic sometimes.

A typical day

I will take your dog on walks, trips to the dog park, and entertain him/her while you’re away! I love to throw toys or maybe play a game of tug of war!

I am currently doing pet care full time! During the sitting, I will bring my laptop with me and will be there to supervise your pets at all times! I may go home to check on my own dog from time to time but I also have roommates to check on him for me as well if needed. I do like to go out of the house here and there and also walk and drop in on other dogs, so I would prefer that your pet is ok with me being gone for at couple of hours at a time. For overnight stays, I can definitely stay with your pup overnight! Not a problem!
