Hi there! My name is Kirsten, and animals are my favorite people. Recently I lost my dear boy Benji, and pet sitting is helping me fill the hole it’s left in my heart. I’ve been watching animals as a job for well over a decade, and joined Rover while in college. In my spare time I like to exercise or binge watch Netflix (balance!). My whole life I have loved animals more than anything. I started caring for animals at a young age and it has always made me so happy. Animals are so easy to love and I grow attached instantly- I will treat any animal as if he or she were my own. I would absolutely love to spend time with your animals of any kind! I hope to use all of my spare moments to hang out with your beloved pets.

Kirsten gave us incredible peace of mind while we were out of town. With senior pets, it's hard to know who to trust. Kirsten went above and beyond to accomodate our dog's walk schedule and make sure he wasn't alone for too long. We also got a lot of photos and updates on all three of the animals. Thank you so much-- we'll definitely book again!

Kirsten watched my cats over the holiday and i couldn’t recommend her enough! One of my cats has an eye condition that requires drops twice a day and Kirsten was so wonderful administering them and making sure my cat felt comfortable and safe with her. She provided my babies with so much love and care while I was gone and I could not be happier!
I had never left my dog with a non-family member for an extended period of time, but after reading the reviews of Kirsten on Rover I knew I had found someone perfect to stay with Frankie in my apartment. Kirsten was wonderful with Franks, sending daily updates, photos and videos to reassure me that all was well at home without me. As I prepared to depart, I was nervous not only about leaving Frankie, but of my home as well. I can happily report that Kirsten took excellent care of both! I returned home to the same environment I had left, and Frankie wasn't even fazed to see me. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog and respect your home, I highly recommend Kirsten.

I like to know your pet’s favorite toys and activities to make sure they have lots of fun! Some pets have unique quirks I want to make sure I accommodate- like my cat has a bedtime that he strictly enforces on me!
A typical day
I love playing with dogs and taking them for walks/runs, or even hikes (with your permission, of course)! Energetic dogs need some way to get that energy out, and I would gladly help them with that. However I do also enjoy the lazy hours a dog or other animal has in it- a napping buddy or a friend to watch TV with. Either way I can make sure both the dogs and I have a great time together! I love dogs, but have a soft spot for kitties too. Any type of animal you may have, I would love to watch them and do whatever it is they love to do.

Availability
I work 9-5 Monday-Friday in Times Square. I can easily stop by during lunch for a potty break during working hours. If you have an active dog, I’m happy to take them on a morning or evening run!
