Pet care experience
My name is Kirsten and I am a children's book illustrator who works from home and who loves dogs! I've always had dogs growing up, but my current apartment won't allow them and I miss being around all those good boys and girls. Because my job hours are flexible, I can spend more time with your animals giving them all the love and attention they deserve. I can even draw sketches of them while you're away (and who knows? As an illustrator, they could make a guest appearance in my next book!) My pet care experience comes from being a dog owner, so I know how much you love your fur-babies because I feel the same. I have also dog sat for neighbors and my parents while they were on vacation. And as mentioned, I work from home and have flexible hours, and I have my own car if your dog wants to go to a park that's further away.

Kirsten took great care of our boy and our home! She kept me updated with photos, which I have always told our sitters not to worry about when they ask if I want them to send pics. But I will say I really appreciated getting them, they made me smile! I will be requesting them in the future! She was considerate and great about asking questions that I may not have thought of! Highly recommend her!
Kirsten did a great job taking care of our fur babies. They accepted her right away and even slept with her. She kept us informed by sending pictures once, sometimes twice, a day. We will certainly have Kirsten again!
This was our first time using River and leaving our pets (a 9 month old Golden and 2 cats) with a non- family member. Kirsten is a responsible, good communicator. She took lots of pics of “the kids” which we enjoyed and got a kick out of. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 stars is that the kitty litter pads were not changed - we use the Breeze system. Not huge, but important, being there is a fee to care for the cats. Maybe I didn’t train thoroughly in this area. Otherwise, a great gal and we would love to have her stay again!
Kirsten was wonderful house-sitting for our fur kids. We will definitely ask her again!
